I own the TomTOM GO 520 Music edition which is the exactly the same as the normal go 520 but with added mp3 playback and ipod connectivity. it allows you to connect your ipod and control it completely through the TOMTOM's touchs screen which seems very impressive to your passengers but not as impressive practically because the speakers on the go 520 are pretty useless compared to the regular car stereo, its a bit like trying to listen to music played ...

Bought from Maplin this week. Got a demo in store before buying. Quite pleased overall, good entry level machine which definately suits average user ie day trips, visits, light work use etc. 1 Gb Hd, Blue tooth,4.3 inch screen,Touchscreen. Though these features are just gimmicks. Basically you want it to "speak" instructions to you, re route you in event of wrong turn, power off cigarette lighter, mount on window, it does all this. Having been quite frustrated with my Copilot Sat Nav on my mobile, l finally took the plunge and went for this latest of TomTom's. Not one for testing it on routes l was familiar with, l jumped straight into the deep end and took the journey from Cheltenham to Heathrow airport to pick my mother up. It was great, after 20 miles into the journey l wondered why l didn't buy one before. It was easy to use straight away as the menus are pretty self-explanetary ...
...turn off as well as having a very clear and precise voice direction. The only down side l found was the difficulty in finding the most convenient position to put up the in-car mount. I have been converted, my old Sat Nav has now been consigned to the proverbial recycle bin.... ...

I do not own a sat nav. However currently i am working at halfords selling them everyday. I have set up, demonstated and used almost every sat nav. It is easy to say the Tom Tom go series is the best range. The 520 is the basic addition to the go series. The main let down here is no europein mapping. Its easy to work, either postcode, town and street names being typed in or speak the address and it finds it that way.
