TomTom Map of Western Europe Maps

I recently reviewed the TomTom one, which we bought with the Western Europe maps, and I have been waiting to put Jane (our name, after the voice) through her paces in rural France. As with all TomTom maps, easy to see, easy to use, easy to understand, and easy to update. Absolutely fantastic, I have no idea how we ever coped without her/it. It is very hard to think of any negatives, the only one, and not such a biggie, is that sometimes she (Jane) tells you to turn right or left when really it is only a bend, or bear left or right when it is a turn. Having used a Tom Tom Go 700 for a number of years, I decided to update the maps of Western Europe. Tom Tom uses software called Tom Tom Home which is used to download the updated maps. ...the new priority and the TomTom will be forced to re-calculate the route and find an alternative. The only disappointment is that there is no support for post codes in Europe, so it usually means studying Autoroute in advance and setting the destination on the PC. The addition of speed camera alerts is welcome, as they are usually hidden in Spain, and sooner or later a reciprical arrangment will be reached with Spain. The maps do go ut of date all ...
