Advantages: Clear easy to use menus
Disadvantages: Mapping sometimes inaccurate

I have owned my Tom Tom for nearly two years now, and use it most days for work. The system is really easy to use thanks to a touch screen menu system, using symbols as well as descriptions for the main menu options, and it is really easy to program and set up with your own details. ...that's all really. Obviously the TomTom devices varied from £199 to £400, however knowing from past experience most of the devices got similar features. Without hesitating, I purchased the device from Comets that had a discount on the product at that time. Slightly better than the ONE XL and GO but again full of useless features, Please tomtom get back to basics. Learn from the Germans, try a Grundig nav 100 for a few days and you would remember why the sat nav was invented. Its to take you to your destination 100% of the time, not to play your movies, MP3 and so on and on..... I like the size of this unit, had it for 3 weeks and took me to the wrong destination twice!! that just is not good enough when you're business involves a great deal of driving around.

Advantages: Easy to use touch screen, ready to use straight from the box.
Disadvantages: Directions could be worded slightly better

I purchased the TomTom ONE Europe as a gift to my partner before Christmas. We decided to go for the Europe version as I have friends in Italy and we like to go to France so we wanted to be able to take it with us. Advantages: Easy to programme and use
Disadvantages: Wont stay stuck on the windscreen!

I received this little gadget as a present and have only just got round to using it as I dont realy drive all that much. I believe it was about £200 although Ive seen them cheaper. It plugs into the car cigarette lighter, and switches on with a press ona button. It seems to take a while to actually "come on" and at first I was worried but now Ive got used to waiting about a minute for things to kick into action! The screen is colured and just 7X5 ... Advantages: Stylish, Inexpensive, Accurate, Loads of features, Easy to install, even for me!
Disadvantages: Suction mount fell of windscreen when kids slammed the door, Nickable!

After a few months of pondering and searching and trying all sorts of models, 2 speeding tickets in a fortnight clinched it.
