Advantages: Good sound pick up and simple to use. Disadvantages: Monitor can get knocked out of its pouch and you cannot hear anything
After having a few monitors it is good to have one that lasts for a long time. The transmitter is good and has a long wire which is good for positioning it where you want but not so good safety wise if you little one is old enough to escape the cot and play with the wire. The receiver is good. It comes with a removable part to carry around with you(mine does not work..probably may just need batteries but i have never needed it portable). It works ... ...but it can easily be knocked out and then you don't hear anything.
It has a yellow light feature also that increases to show volume of noise in room that you are monitoring.
I like it and it seems to last a long time as opposed to others i have had. It would be nice if it recharged itself so that you could walk around with it but it doesnt. Very handy monitor though and i would recommend. ...
