Tommy Hilfiger was born in New York. His career began in 1969 with selling jeans and soon expanded the range to include other clothes and also perfumes. Hilfiger Fragrance The Tommy Hilfiger fragrance line is quite small in comparrison with other top brands. There is a few scents for men but the main focus on ladies perfume of which there is True Gold, Loud, Dreaming and Tommy Girl. Tommy Girl was released in 1996 and came out alongside Tommy. The cool youthful, American fragrance. Tommy Girl is the first fragrance from Tommy Hilfiger, the American designer and was launched in 1996. It is classified as a refreshing, flowery fragrance. It includes notes of apple, mandarin, tangerine, citrus, grapefruit, honeysuckle, jasmine, rose, and woods. To me this perfume reminds me of my youth. Shock. Horror. This is not an Avon fragrance! As you may or may not know, I have recently returned from a holiday in sunny Tenerife. For those of you who do not know the Canary Islands are a tax-free group of islands and therefore there are loads of shops selling any number of items. One of my favourite to visit is the Perfume Safari shop. As you may have gathered by now, they sell perfumes. All types ranges and costs. Tommy Hilfiger Tommy Girl EDT..... This perfume was something I used to have all the time when I was at school and it was always a popular fragrance with all the other girls too (we probably all smelt the same, all of the time!). So more recently I purchased a small bottle of it just for old times sake. The small bottle of the perfume (30 ml) bottle cost me a little over £10 from ordering on line but can be picked up for relatively the same amount for various high street shops too. Dusting the tops of my perfume bottles over the weekend, I came across a bottle of Tommy Girl, the contents of which I hadn't worn for a few years. I have fond memories of this perfume, the bottle having been given to me when I was a young teen due to my best friend at the time being an avid wearer and me, always thinking that she smelt lovely. Now, a decade later, the same bottle has been in my collection ever since and its sturdy glass bottle has survived five house moves and quite a few other events along the way. I've had this perfume for a while now and I keep it in one of my atomisers because for me it it's a quite light scent which you can re-apply and wear during the day for example to work. I thought it was about time I reviewed it, especially as I am currently trying to save up for a holiday and one day a house deposit so I am reviewing my entire bedroom! When my husband came back from abroad, he bought me some Tommy Girl from dutyfree. It was the new fragrance at the time and everyone was raving on about it! Well I quite liked the smell, it's light and sporty and sweet and very fresh. The packaging was ok, nothing to write home about. I wore it for the first time on a day out with the family, by the time we had got to the place, the perfume had gone! It was soo light that it didn't stay on long, and it seemed that it didn't matter how much I sprayed on, it never lasted. So in saying that, the perfume didn't last and I wouldn't buy it again. Advantages: Gorgeous, flirty, scent. Suitable for day or night. Disadvantages: None, except it does eventually run out and more will need to be bought! Oh, oh, oh, I love this fragrance so much. I first tried this when I was 13 years old and my boyfriend at the time went away with the school for a weekend to France or somewhere! This was part of my presents that he brought me back....
