I really regret buying these awful curlers. I checked a couple of review sites, which had mixed results and stupidly decided to get them anyway. My hair is quite long and layered. Using them is really difficult and depite having hair that isn't especially difficult to style, these curlers had next to no effect at all. A slight kink, on the long bits of my hair. That's it. And I had a choice of my layers (which are shoulder length btw) sticking out like I'd been electrocuted, or into my head. So believe me, don't bother with these curlers. I bought these last year after seeing them in Wilkos for £20. I first noticed that on the highest setting (which I need, I have unruly hair) my hair always smelled burned and even on the lower settings it burned the dye right off my hair! So today I turned them half way, to 15 and started curling, because the temperature switch is a dial, you turn it left or right, I accidentally turned it to 25 while curling. 5 seconds later, smoke billowed off my hair and the chunk I was curling just fell off! Black and burned to a crisp. Then the curlers started smoking and wouldn't stop, it turned to black ... more
