We're Jamming, I hope you like Jamming Too!

Advantages: Easy, Fun and compelling
Disadvantages: Not a true Tony Hawk game, might get overlooked

...time there has been a Tony Hawk skateboarding game in existence! When it launched in 200BC Tony Hawk's Pro Skater set the standards for Skateboarding if not all extreme sports games, and since then the series has enjoyed much success and dominance, at last count there were 689 versions of Tony Hawk's Skateboarding games. Ok, you may have spotted a few exaggerations and inaccuracies in the opening paragraph, but there is no doubt that Tony Hawk Skating ...
...Since Tony Hawk's Pro Skater (THPS) was launched in 1999, there have been 10 incarnations to date including this one, Downhill Jam. Undoubtedly there will be (and probably already are) more Tony Hawk games on the way. @@@@@Mmmmmm Jam! Until the launch of Downhill Jam, the series had followed the same format with each new game bringing better graphics, more detail and improved game play, but generally sticking to the same style of game. That being, ...

Downhill Jam is snowboarding spread with Hawk

Advantages: Amusing, solid enough gameplay, challenging later on
Disadvantages: Very linear, not really Tony Hawk enough

Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam is a diversion from the regular Tony Hawk's series in that it focuses on racing as a whole, not just the art of skating. It's a more linear and straightforward experience than previous Tony Hawk's games - there is a limited variety of boards and characters, there are only six courses to play on and the basic premise is simple: go forward, don't crash and win the race. There are diversions from this rule, such as Trick contests ...
...doesn't feel like your typical Tony Hawk game. As said above, Downhill Jam is a game that is focused on getting to the finish line, not being the coolest skater around. Hence, it doesn't actually feel like a Tony Hawk's game. If anything, it's like Neversoft (the company who develop Tony Hawk games) have ripped a snowboarding game off someone and slapped Hawk's face all over it. While it is a fun game to play in its own right, one cannot help but ...

Tony Hawk's downhill jam

Advantages: At first its pretty fun and enjoyable, multiplayer is good.
Disadvantages: Its playability and enjoyment wont last for a long time.

This game is good, however i much prefer trick games. It is a good idea and fun to play, having to race and kick other people off their boards. However the races are often short and not that interesteing but there are quite a few so you might find some that interest you alot. You can do tricks in them but as the point of the game is to race, there isnt much time for good tricks. There is a two player mode which is fun and interesting, however this ...
...game cheap it is worth buying it, but dont spend too much on it as it wont entertain you for that long. It uses the wii remote pretty well. You have to use it sideways and tilt it to turn , this is hard to get used to but pretty cool. The graphics are pretty good as is the sound. Overall it is an average game but could be better. It is a good game for your collection though. ...
