Advantages: InexpEnsive addition to Freeview - no satellite dish needed
Disadvantages: "InexpAnsive "addition to Freeview! Limited channel choice and not all are 24-hour channels

...belong to an organisation called TopUp TV. There are other individual channels that can be paid for too, but these tend to be either the 'soft porn' variety or specialist sport channels like Setanta, currently carrying exclusive coverage of Scottish Premier league football on a pay-per-match basis. The Plague Of Pay DTT

Disadvantages: Timeshared, uncertainty

For many years the pay digital terrestrial television market has been plagued with unsuccessful and failing businesses. Does anyone remember the original - and perhaps best offering On Digital? The pay DTT network launched on the 15th November 1998 which on the outside seemed to provide an excellent service - you could "pick and mix" your package as it were - choosing from a selection of top quality satellite channels - including Sky Movies and Sports. ... TOPUPTV - - - NOT RECOMMENDED USLESS

Advantages: Very Few
Disadvantages: 10gbp per month for an overrated Thompson dtv box with software problems

2 Months after first install, 2 software upgrades, fitted a new TV aerial, 10p per min customer service line that is under manned. Told due to problems would have to wait until march for third upgrade to software. Some channels dropped, others times changed no sky1.... Unable to cancel unless phoning in during working hours. Unable to cancel contract until threaten trading standards. Reboot system every other day as it locks up. Sold as first ... Read review
