I have read many reviews of Topman here on ciao; and all seem to be making a mockery out of it, and saying, simply, it’s a shit shop. So, Matttroberts is here in its defence, and is here to prove to you what an excellent and wide-ranged shop Topman really is…
Firstly I must comment on the range that there is in Topman. Whether you want light blue jeans, blue jeans, navy jeans, dirty denim jeans, indigo jeans, black jeans, light black ... ...can decide which one you want!
The shops are quite large (depending on your location) and have a wide range of many products. Also the deco in the shop is nice, with peaceful, inviting and relaxing colours. I, myself, find if the shop is dirty or the walls are grubby looking, it puts me totally off. If they are like this with their shops, what do they do with their clotheswear? Incase there are any people out there who haven’t heard of Topman ...

...an annoying marketing scheme that Top Man have imployed to get you into buying their clothes (and this is only one of my negative points). if you have visited this store in january you will notice that they put big green (or other various colours) labels on the coat hanger saying £10 or £5- this usually gets me interested in what they have to offer especially trousers (which i will come on to later). On trying to purchase an item of clothing you ... ...had the same problem in Top Shop and some of my friends have as well noticed this tedency for Top Man to put these prices on just to attract the customers. i beleive this to be false advertising and very unfair.
That was a specific point, but in general Top Man can supply good quality but heavily priced items. The trousers, as afor mentioned, can be heavily priced and even sale price will not bring them down more than £3-5. this much for a pair ...

I tend to become obsessive about clothes stores. First it was Gap; what I saw as the epitomy of cool (hey, I can make a mistake!). In the last year or so my attentions have shifted to Topman, and now rarely a day goes by where my clothes are not complimented by a Topman t shirt, pair of trousers or long sleeved top. The recent untimely emission by the Managing Director of Topman, stating that the typical customer belongs to the laddish, hooligan-esque ... ...also not true. I firmly disagree with his notion, 'cos let's face it, I'm no yobbo! And looking at the clothes in stock, it is not exactly the butchest of ranges! It's more, dare I say it, on the camp side if anything!
Topshop, the female counterpart, was voted fashion retailer of the year last year and in my humble opinion its more maligned male offshoot definitely deserves the same recognition, and I'll tell you why.

...Anyway i find that Top Man has really got its act together & has a huge range of clothes. Personally i love the 'Moto' range which is quite cutting edge & a little more pricey than their usual stuff. They even have imitations of Prada items but they are a bit hit & miss & u can't help thinking "what on earth were THEY thinking?"!
Another range they have is the streety / indie kid range which has some quite hip & funky items. Also don't miss the ... ...think the main strength of Top Man for stylish shoppers is that they get top trends & versions of designer items in really quickly. The downside of the shop's popularity is that u can walk down the street and spot lots of people wearing the same item.

This one u must deinitely visit, it's situated on Oxford Street & is HUGE! It's so big that'll u'll definitely find something u like.

...to stock rather boring clothing, Top Man goes out of its way to stock lots of colourful things. So if you are fed up of neutral and dull colours this is definitely the place to go.
January sales tip: yesterday I went into the Bournemouth store which is having the January sale. They had bundles of nice, long-sleeved Wilson (their own brand?) shirts on the racks, all in the sale. I picked up a nice purple shirt with normal collar for a fiver, which ... ...the other shirts were £5-15, which was good.
Although Topman rarely has designer labels (apart from Kangol socks and hats for some odd reason) it does seem to get some good products from the likes of Moto and Wilson clothing as well as W&G. These are not well known brand names and the quality isn't superb, but if you ask me, the clothing is pretty funky. Top Shop/Topman
This Top shop is very much like the majority situated across the U.K. The Watford branch has two floors. The grounds floor caters for women’s clothing, and the second floor goes under the title of ‘topman’ and caters for the male sex. The ground floor’s women’s clothing caters for a variety of different looks; from clubbing clobber to beach wear bikinis.
The second floor stocks a selection of men’s ... ...suits and various fashion stated shirts. There is much clothing situated on this floor but nothing alternative to the current fashion trends.
Clothing here is priced fairly. T-shirts can be found at about 15 to 20 pounds and Jeans around 35 pounds. The store normally has on going sales so it’s defiantly worth popping in to see if anything there takes your fancy. Topman also sells male accessories such as belts, bags and low cost jewellery.

Shoppers at Topshop can find items of any taste in reasonable prices. I am quite satisfied about the variety of menswear but sometimes I am a bit sceptical about the quality. Jeans and shirts I have bought are not in a such good condition after they are washed a couple of times. Furthemore, I believe that the fact that Topman offer 10% discount to both NUS card holders and clubcard holders is not fair and they should increase the discount to Topshop ...

Topman is an icredible shop to buy mens clothes. There is a large selection and most clothes are avaliable in the majority of sizes.
Not only does each product sold have a unique quality but when combined with others it allows you to give the clothes an original feel to them allowing you to create your own styles within styles.
I have been purchasing my closes at Topman for the past 3-4 years and am renouned by my freinds for only having Topman ... ...kind and freindly are are always willing to try and help you in everyway that they can.
Another great thing about Topman is the price. Topman has ALWAYS got some sort of sale going on. Wether it be a 2 pairs of jeans for £32 or 3 t-shirts for £10 or simply trousers for £5. The prices are ALWAYS VERY low even though the quality is high.
Generally it is always worth poping into your local Topman just to see whats on special offer. Overall a GREAT ...

I first went to Topshop a while back and was impressed by the range of clothes, and the affordability factor associated with them. Since that time, I have bought a fair few items to supplement my wardrobe.
I have read a few opinions on here about Topman, which said that they were a shop mainly, aimed at homosexual men. I do agree, but I think that you must look at fashion tastes these days and realise that it isn't what it used to be 5 years ago.
... ...range at an affordable price tag. Branches allow you to try on your clothes before you buy, and this has helped me in the past.
You can purchase clothes using a varied amount of payment methods, including Solo debit cards, which I find very handy.
Very good store, and I recommend having a look round. ...

Topman is one of the only decent places for men to shop on the high street. Women have a huge choice when it comes to buying clothes, but men on the other hand have such little choice. Topman is one of the few high street retailers that provides affordable, funky, streetwise clothing for men. Most men’s clothing shops on the high street are either (a) very expensive or (b) of poor quality, choice and design. Topman manages to avoid these two no no’s ... ...priced and are stylish. I believe there is a big void in the market where men’s clothing is concerned and men need clothing just as much as women. Until some enterpinere come along and fills the gap, Topman will hopefully continue holding up the wardrobe of men from all over the country! ...
