Advantages Advantages Self Tuning, Sharp quality Image

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Tinny Sound,

Well Ive just won five of these babies, and given them all away. How much do my staff Love me? They are a nice looking TV, finished in the silver effect, speaker down each side, with a large off button in the middle that has a light around it and channel and volume buttons set to each side of it. The picture quality is crystal clear, its nice and sharp, with a clear bright picture, fully adjustable. The TV has 2 external scart sockets, and a composite input all hidden away around the back. Setup wise is very user friendly, turn it on access your menu and setup push the corresponding coloured ... more

    Advantages Advantages Functional

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Some annoying niggles

A decent, functional TV, but with no particular shining good points. Unfortunately, a number of annoying design flaws spoil it. Switch on is a 2-step process; press the on-off switch, and I normally expect that a TV will power up with the last selected channel as the active one; the Toshiba powers up to Standby status, and awaits further channel selection before it will play ball. It won't allow you to directly select one of the AV inputs from Standby, only a 'regular' TV channel. For the situation where all input is coming from AV equipment (Freeview, DVD etc) this can get a touch wearing ... more

    Advantages Advantages Great picture

Disadvantages Disadvantages Sound needs a lot of fiddling

Bought this a few days ago- been pleased with it since. Great quality picture (using a freeview box with RGB output which this TV picks up). The bootup is very easy- automatic search if you have it connected to a normal aerial. Someone earlier said tinny sound- I wouldn't say tinny but you need to adjust the equalizer a lot to get some semblance of bass. With 2 scarts and 2 other AV points easy to connect other equipment too- have an Xbox connected which looks pretty damn good on screen! Would recommend this if you need a new telly and don't want to spend the world for good quality- if you're ... more

Advantages Advantages Self tuning, Child-lock, Value for money

Disadvantages Disadvantages Reacts to white screen from DVD input

The TV arrived and after about an hour I had it set up and ready to use with my freeview box and DVD player. It was simple to do and the instructions were simple. It has a very useful child lock which means my 16 month old son can press all the buttons on the front and not affect my viewing pleasure. Another review said the sound was tinny, but there is an equaliser which can be used to produce the sound you desire. The one problem I have encountered is that when my DVD player shows a totally white screen the TV flicks to a blue screen for the duration of this shot. I am not sure if this a ... more
