Advantages: Keep your current DVD collection, well priced Disadvantages: Poor blacks sometimes
The Toshiba SD 480 upscales normal DVDs into a much better format that can be watched on a HD ready TV, it is an alternative to the blu-ray and HD dvd players out there, and allows people to keep their current DVD collections and still watch them all in HD. The quality of the player is very good, it plays many movies in a much better quality, the only trouble that I have had so far has been with blacks on the player, which often come out in a fuzzy ... ...picture quality of the player, otherwise everything about the quality is very good, and I have been pleased with the quality. The HD output means that DVDs can be played and upscaled on very big HD ready tvs in the highest quality possible, this is a massive bonus and I have really enjoyed being able to use all of my DVDs in this way, it makes the experience more enjoyable. Toshiba SD 480 EKTE is one of a device which makes your life easier and filled with entertainment.I owned a Toshiba 210E previously which was a good machine but was I wanted something more and this SD 480 is the answer for that.It plays anything and any format that you can think of.
