    Toshiba Laptop becomes my life partner wherever I stay. During morning, it gives me company enjoying cup of tea while reading news. In the evenings, it allows me to chat with my friends and in the night, it entertains me with the soothing and melodious music. It sleeps with me next to my bed. It has travelled many countries too and always keeps me up-to-date. And of course I cannot enjoy its company without internet facility.     Disadvantages Disadvantages poor battery capability (2.5hr), imperfect design- touchpad buttons, front panel controls), sound

    My requirements Had been for the lookout for a good laptop that would be reasonably speedy, have internet ready features (integrated webcam, microphone and fast wireless connection with good browsing speed), have enough multimedia capabilities (good graphics, sound card, speakers, wide and true picture screen with above average resolution), windows7 ready with 64bit (for future upgrades, if required), decent looks and most importantly affordable price.     I received this laptop Toshiba laptop two Christmases ago and was very pleased with it, that is until I found out it had Windows Vista installed on it. I would have preferred XP over vista. Spec 3GB Ram 250GB Hard Drive 16 inch monitor Design The design of this laptop is very good, but not that modern; its more the classic does what it says on the tin kind of laptop. When the top is closed, it locks into place with the use of two small clips either side.     This laptop is brilliant for anyone who cannot afford the latest technology. It is easy to use, and I now understand that if you are going to buy a laptop like this, or any other for tha matter, then Windows 7 comes as standard, which is another advantage. The laptop is easy to use, cheap, and comes with all the features you could want and more. It has a built in webcam which does not offer spectacular quality, but is on a parr with the average webcam.     This laptop is good for its price and is pretty fast too. It has a nice large screen which is vary good for movies. It can also play a lot of games without the need of any more componets which is a plus if you dont want to spend too much on them. You can get some great themes for it and gadgets on you desktop. You will probably get Windows 7 with it which is great and fast and realible. The power is poor without a charger but normally I have mine in. You have to be careful not too block the fan as it can get quite hot pretty quickly and wont do it any good. All in all its great for its money ... more

    Advantages Advantages Amazing for what you pay for, Easy to use.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Could do with abit more memory, but i do download alot so its not a massive problem

    This is my laptop, I completely adore it. The Toshiba Satellite L450D-11G has excellent extra features which include a built in webcam, which is a satisfactory quality but it has options on the device which can change its preferances to your liking. Another extra feature is voice recognition which you can use to control this laptop, but i stick to the typing and manually controlling it, as most of the time it cant understand/comes out with the most random things. My mum bought this for me for about £380 on sale, and it also came with Windows 7, and Microsoft Office (Microsoft Word, Excel etc) ... more

    Disadvantages Disadvantages The rewriting time is slow and very loud, not good for when your in a business environment.

    I found the laptop very nice to use, the keyboard is easy to use, although it doesnt have a side number button, but this comes with the bigger model. The laptop has lots of features including speak recognition and face recognition for ease of access. This laptop is good at the prices you can find it for, not burning a hole in you bank but still allowing you a good source or entertainment with practical uses. This laptop comes with a graphics card and is fast for streaming videos and playing them over the built in toshiba dvd player. The start up time is quite long but if you get a good start ... more
