Toshiba are arguably one of the best known business laptops, they are certainly know for their price tag if little else. However in recent years they have been pushing into the lower end markets with surprisingly good quality laptops at reasonable prices.
Toshiba’s Satellite Pro range represents the middle range of business laptops, supporting the normal run-of-the-mill business applications such as Word, Excel and Power Point. However they are ... ...380mm corner to corner (14”). Toshiba haven’t made the best use of the space available to them as there is 28mm of horizontal and 30mm vertical plastic “screen real-estate” that the TFT could have been pushed out into.

...for photoshop etc Reliable, toshiba line with long history
Integrated wireless (this is especialy powerful since i can pick up better signal than any other comp, such as my friends acer laptop and Asus laptop)
Includes OneNote 2003, really useful for taking notes and recording lectures
Good speaker system (titanium speakers), the sound is actually decent and better than most sony laptops, i don't need addition speakers since the quality is decent ... ...these utilites but the the Toshiba power save utility stopped working this is basically the most useful thing that helps you save power by controlling fan speed and cpu speed)
No centrino, basically, it means that it doesn't save as much battery and the processer speed is fast but pentium M processors can load apps faster cause its better designed
For me, i'm lucky i live 5 minutes away from my univeristy so i can carry the laptop there and use ...

The model I am using has 2.6Ghz processor with 496Mb Ram. I think investing the extra Ram makes this computer so much better as it only comes with 256 as standard. It's great as an office style computer for general office applications. I run mine on Windows XP professional (preloaded) but I'm sure it works fine with XP home and other OS versions. It's ok for development as it is quite speedy but its let down by graphics. It runs ... ...its not really a gaming a computer although it has to power to be good. The Intel graphics works well for general uses but for games it is sometimes incompatible or not up to standard. I love it though even if it could do with a bigger screen and better resolution. (I'm used to 2 17" TFTs on a mid-range nvidia card.) The model I have has a DVD/CD-RW which works pretty well. It doesn't have a built in floppy drive but I have an external USB one that ...

(+) cool and quite robust trackpad, good display,64-bit windows 7 (-) few connectors,dell drivers only, not realy for gameing (most models), finger print prone!
