I purchased a Toshiba Tecra M9 from the Queen's University (Kingston, Ontario, Canada) Campus Computer Store about 3 weeks ago and have so far found it to be an extremely frustrating experience. After numerous screwups by the Computer Store, I finally managed to start work with the computer only to have the DVD drive fail this week, after about 10 days of operation. No installation disks are recognized and it will apparently take about a week to find/fix the problem. In addition to this problem, I have found the keyboard to be extremely awkward and the computer itself to be much heavier than the Dell and IBM computers I owned previously. I hope to be able to return the computer for a fresh start with a different model. ...

(+) positive aspects include the speed, apperance/design of the laptop, and the enhanced performance. (-) i have a matt black laptop and it shows dirty finger prints.
