    Advantages Advantages tasteful, healthy, variable

Disadvantages Disadvantages A bit pricey in the long run

Although I am quite keen on a good Müller yoghurt with a nice strong fruity flavour, I am also partial to a decent tub of Greek yoghurt! I was delighted when I came across the pots of Fage Total Greek yoghurt, 0% fat in Asda, and could not wait to try it! There wasn't much that actually attracted me to this product; the packaging is very basic. The yoghurt is kept inside a round plastic tub, which has a main white colour to it, except the writing, which is a dark blue shade. The large '0%' sign on the top did play a part in luring me closer, as I wondered what exactly it was lacking in. When I ... more

Advantages Advantages Just about everything for the health conscious

Disadvantages Disadvantages It'll cost a fortune to buy loads of these.

I didn't know what to expect when I bought this yogurt. I popped 'Face Total 0%' in the trolley during our shop because I was looking for natural yogurts with probiotics to help my IBS. I was also looking for yogurts I hadn't tried before. The product description on the pot said - 'Fat free authentic Greek strained yoghurt.' Call me stupid but I didn't know what a Greek strained yoghurt was and just assumed it was a normal natural yogurt except with no fat and 'no added sugar or sweetners' as the lid told me. I was appealed by the fact it is 'o% fat and only 78kcal per 150g (52kcal per 100g) ... more

If you like good, thick, creamy Greek Yoghurt, then you will adore Total Greek Yoghurt. The advantage of this version of Total Greek Yoghurt, is that it is 0% fat. So, even though it tastes just like any other Greek Yoghurt that is available on the market, there is no need to feel guilty about indulging your fancy for Greek Yoghurt. Greek Yoghurt has a very distinctive, rich and creamy taste and texture. Total Greek Yoghurt has all of this with, as I say, the advantage of having no fat, so you ca Enjoy Total Greek Yoghurt 0% no matter what your diet might be. Total Greek Yoghurt can be used ... more

Advantages Advantages Creamy and just like full fat version

Disadvantages Disadvantages Should come in larger tubs!

This low fat, creamy Greek yogurt is a wonder product which I discovered when following weightwatchers (a whole tub is just 1 point). I had tried the full fat version and didn't believe that the 0% low fat version would taste anywhere near as good, but it tastes virtually the same! I use it in place of sour cream in all sorts of recipes, for example fajitas/tacos/mexican food and stirred into pasta to make a sauce. It withstands heat pretty well (unlike fromage frais which is the only other similar low fat product I have found) although not if you boil it - gently heating is best. As well as ... more

Advantages Advantages no fat - great texture

    Disadvantages Disadvantages quite expensive

Some years ago I lost nearly 6 stone with Weightwatchers so I am a died in the wool label checker and a foodfat-phobe. This product is a favourite of mine. I use it to make mini-pavlovas that are even better than ones with cream. Just buy a pack of small meringue nests, fill with 0% fat greek yoghurt and decorate with fresh or defrosted summer fruits. If you have it, a swirl of coulis is also a good touch. Does it taste the same as full fat Greek Yoghurt? Of course it doesn't - it lacks the fatty-creamy mouthfeel of a high fat yog but that's something I'm happy to give up on for the guiltless ... more

Advantages Advantages Natural, tastly, low fat, cheap

Disadvantages Disadvantages not exactly cream, is it?

I bought this in a Safeways supermarket with some cherrys. I wanted to have cherrys and creme, but then I chose to have a healthier alternative instead. I chose Total as it claimed to be "authentic greek yogurt" and my friends have recommended it to me as well. Although not as creamy as real cream, the Greek yogurt was really nice and creamy and was much tastier than the tescos range i've had before. The Yogurt doesn't have a strong smell, but it does have a strongish distinctive yogurty taste and if you don't like yogurt, don't expect it to taste of cream or nothing. You can eat it with fruit ... more
