...I hadn't even heard of tots bots or even shaped nappies for that matter but I am proud to say I have been converted! When I first started looking for cloth nappies I was completely overwhelmed, there were so many different makes and types of nappy there was no way my "after baby" brain could take it all in lol but I soon learnt that they all do the same job and you really don't need that much stuff to start...

shaped nappies ~ tots bots belong to this family and come in 3 sizes, size 1 is around 6 - 20lb, size 2 is around 18 - 35lb and size 3 is 35+. Shaped nappies normally come either applix fastening (which to you and me is velcro lol) non applix which is hey! no velcro lol and instead you use what is called as a nippa grippa, this is instead of a nappy pin and it has "teeth" that grip the nappy, very easy to use, or you get some with a press stud ...

...of the other reviews on Tots Bots I felt I had to write my own about my experience purchasing these great nappies and how we get on with them!!
I feel it is important to have the information about not just the nappies themselves but also the kind of service that you receive when purchasing them, my review is more about this than the actual product.

He tried to get me interested in them but I just couldn't look past the "ohh my god i'm having twins so that is double the work load".
Not to be detered he just kept talking about how great they were and how much money they would save us!!
All I kept thinking about was "extra washing and drying"!!

The Tots wrap is a polyurethane coated breatheable ployester aplix fastening wrap, with plenty of room for a huge Tots Bots as you would expect, or any other cloth fitted nappy or prefold you might wish to use it with. The wraps are excellent value for money as you can use them over any fitted nappy. I do prefer my Cotton Bottoms Superwhisper wraps, but that is just a personal preference ove the feel of the fabric. My all time favourite night wrap has to be the fleece Red Wrap though, sheer durability, fit, and performance wise, it wins hands down. As the PUL day wraps do not have to ...

Tots Bots were the first reusable nappy that i tried. After researching for months i took the plunge and bought 3 fluffles, a rainbow bamboozle, a fleece wrap and a PUL wrap. I tried these out on my little lady for a few weeks. By the time my son was born a couple of months later i was well and truly an addict. I now own loads and loads of different brands of nappies in different shapes and styles so be sure that I am experienced in using cloth.

I want to know more about the nappies?
All nappies are gently elasticated to give a snug fit. This is especially good in the event of explosive poos. All nappies, except fluffles also feature an attached flapout booster for more absorbancy and for faster drying. Fluffles feature a booster but it snaps in with poppers.

I bought my tots bots off a very nice person in Denmark who wanted them to go to a new home for not a lot of money so home with me they came!
Right now to the nappies. Tots bots come in several different versions and sizes.
Size 1 is a newborn nappy up to about 18lbs ish
Size 2 is for the 18lbs - 35lbs although these can be used as a birth to potty nappy (see futher down the page)

Advantages: absorbant, cute Disadvantages: washable nappies are addictive!
...so my love affair with Tots Bots began! So what is a Tots Bots? Basically, it is several layers of terry cotton stitched together to form a nappy shape. It has a long booster inside it – like a long flap of extra material. This booster can then be folded to provide extra absorbency where you need it – at the front for a boy or in the middle for a girl. Having the extra material as a booster instead of incorporating it in the nappy helps ... ...any excess moisture to evaporate. Tots Bots do make their own PUL and fleece wraps, but other wraps work perfectly well.
Tots Bots are available in 3 sizes. Size 1 fits from 6-18 pounds, size 2 from 18-40 pounds and size 3 from 35 pounds upwards. However, sizing is approximate and depends on the shape of your baby – my chunky boy didn’t last in the size 1 for long! Also, to save money, the size 2 can be folded down to fit a smaller baby.

Tots Bots are a shaped nappy made out of terry toweling. They are reusable nappies, in that you wash them and use them again rather than throwing out with the rubish like disposables. While I was pregnant with my son I spent a lot of time researching nappies, and after deciding on cloth I then decided that tots bots (and the standard terry squares) were for me.

They also have an attached booster, a long rectangular section of toweling which increases the absorbancy of the nappy.

Tots Bots are shaped so there is no fiddly folding like in the old days. They are elasticated at the back, side and leg openings to ensure a good snug fit. ...I finally settled on the Tots Bots Bamboozles with velcro fastening.
Every time I showed anyone around the nursery I made them stop at the pale filled with fluffy white nappies and preached to them about how long it takes a disposable nappy to decompose - how boring I must have been! At 3 weeks I started to use the reusables. As directed I used a nappy with diposable liner inside and wrap covering the nappy. This didn't seem like too much bother to me. To Daddy on the other hand, who had just mastered the art of getting the disposable on the right way, this seemed like lots of unneccesary work. So Mummy used reusable and Daddy used ...

Tots bots are one of the many reusable cloth nappies available as an alternative to disposables. Tots Bots are made by a family owned company from Glasgow, Scotland but are widely available from cloth nappy internet sites and have won many awards.
