Advantages Advantages Compact, fun, cheap to buy and run, easy to drive, funky

Disadvantages Disadvantages tiny boot, some noise at higher speeds

This is the Toyota variant of the new three way collaboration with Peugeot and Citroën - this has created a new factory in the Czech Republic and three new cars, the Aygo, the Citroën C1 and the Peugeot 107. Each of them is basically the same underneath, but all look slightly different externally. Aside from that the main difference is branding, equipment, colours and pricing. I was lucky enough to have an Aygo for a week recently and it's a fantastic little car. It doesn't pretend to be something it isn't, unlike some cars these days, and nor does it come with a whole heap of superfluous ... more

Advantages Advantages Easy to drive, good safety, exterior style, reliable, handles well

Disadvantages Disadvantages Cheap interior, irritating display dials, mesh reflected on windscreen, over-priced

I have driven about 30 miles in this car today as a courtest car. I had heard its reputation was a smaller, cheaper version of the yaris so I expected it to be good, but this car is disappointing. My first impressions were good, it looks great, and looks like it has decent interior space. I still think its looks good from the outside, but the inside is different. I drove away not being able to see anything clearly because the mesh type plastic dash board was fully reflected in the windscreen, my eyes got sore! Its incredibly irritating and affects your vision when its sunny. Gear changes and ... more

Advantages Advantages Quite cheap, very cheap insurance and running costs, quality

Disadvantages Disadvantages Too small, expensive extras

Go easy on me, this is my first review. My trust Polo recently decided it had seen better days and was in need of a rest so I decided to start looking around for second hand cars. A relative has an Aygo so to get a feel of the car I traded for the week to get a good feel of the car. At first I was not too keen on the overall look of the car, it seems like it is very squashed on first impression but it does really grow on you. It looks kind of sporty (but don't be fooled, it isn't). My cousin's Aygo is all black, selecting the colouring is very peculiar as certain colours only come in certain ... more

Advantages Advantages Easy to park, Easy to Drive, not to mention Georgous

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Blind Spot

I purchased one of these gorgous little cars back in March (wanted the new plate!) I was very scared as it was my first purchase of a new car and had spent quite a bit on this car more than i had on my first car. But i have to say 9 months and 10,000 miles later i LOVE it! It has given me no problems whatsoever. For me a city girl who needs a sexy little run around that wont let her down this is the perfect car. Even people who say it is too small - its not i have had a full car and everyone was comfortable. The boot is on the smaller side (hachbacks always are) but i have had a pushchair and ... more

Advantages Advantages Cheap tax, cheap insurance, excellent mpg.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Poor Gearbox, uncomfortable on long journeys.

After owning the car for nearly 3 years have had a mixed experience with my Toyota Aygo, first the good, its cheap to run being insurance group 1 and very cheap tax (£35 a year) and also does about 63mpg which is excellent, the sport model comes with 14" alloy wheels, spot lights, tachometer and has a 5 speed semi automatic gearbox. Around town this car is excellent, very nippy and easy to get into the tightest of parking spaces, it handles well, if your looking for a relatively cheap car to buzz around town i would definitely consider the Aygo. Now for the bad, first of all the gearbox is not ... more

Advantages Advantages Good fuel consumption, reliable

    Disadvantages Disadvantages small boot

I took this car on toyota's 2 day test-drive scheme, the salesperson was very helpful, even giving me 20 pounds worth of petrol to drive on...which of course i used up fully. I sat this car at a constant 60 miles an hour from edinburgh to the west coast of scotland, negtiating a few small towns on my journey, the car was incredibly nippy for such a small vehicle, i wasn't thrown about, the car took bumps in the road extremely well, and above all else when i returned in to the dealership, i had travelled 220 miles, with 2 bars still on the fuel gauge (it had previously been near empty). All in ... more

Advantages Advantages Economical, Easy to drive, Bigger than it looks, Cheap insurace.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Poor Build Quality, Uncomfortouble seats, cheap and plasticky feel inside.

We have had our little Aygo for just over 12 months now. While the car is impressively nippy and quite at home on long journeys, we recently took a trip from the north midlands to the isle of wight without hiccup. Whats it like to live with ? well, in 12 months and 8,500 miles, the car has needed, New drive shafts, new door seals, new door check straps and 3 trips to the dealership to have the gear selectors adjusted. The carpet in the drivers footwell has worn throught to the metal floor, the Bluetooth is tempremental at best and the seats have a metal bar running across the bases that can be ... more

Advantages Advantages small sturdy and reliable

Disadvantages Disadvantages Tiny boot and basic

As a 17 year old learning today like most I was desperate for a car, luckily I got a good deal for a new aygo. For a learner you couldnt ask for more a very small engine keeping insurance road tax and all those other little costs down. Learning in it is perfect, the wing mirrors offer a huge range of vision. The car is small enough to fit in to all kinds of little parking spaces. Even though it is a small little car it is still quite quick, with a nice acceleration and handels beautifully in rain or shine. Even the most basic modle has everything that you coudl really need, CD and radio with ... more

Advantages Advantages Looks, Fuel economy, Nice to drive

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Size of boot

I sold my Honda Civic Type R to buy a Toyota Aygo (rising fuel and insurance costs, and ability to teach my spouse to drive). I was very pleasantly surprised on my first test drive; the Aygo's 67bhp engine was much more lively that I expected it would be (MUCH better than the old 1.2L Corsa we had; obviously nothing like a 198bhp Civic Type R but the Aygo certainly doesn't feel sluggish). I've had the Aygo two months now, and it's been fantastic. The engine takes 600 miles to 'run in', and is very responsive after that period. The car looks - to my eyes - much better than the internally ... more

i bought the aygo sport and wow!! i was chasing bmw,s down the motorway. not very stable in the wind at fast speeds but i overcame this by introducing diablo 14" 185 by 14 rs wheels and tyres i found it impossible to turn over and sticks like glue to bad corners. very nippy in the traffic . a bit slow on starts uphill.excellent air con and heater in my "i" go.responsive steering and excellent fuel economy ..35 pounds road fund licence .i get upwards of 65+ miles per gallon..even thrashing the car. 115mph is possible..stand by for take off. watch out for speed cameras !! my mates are busilly ... more
