Ay'll go for a spin

Advantages: Compact, fun, cheap to buy and run, easy to drive, funky
Disadvantages: tiny boot, some noise at higher speeds

This is the Toyota variant of the new three way collaboration with Peugeot and Citroën - this has created a new factory in the Czech Republic and three new cars, the Aygo, the Citroën C1 and the Peugeot 107. Each of them is basically the same underneath, but all look slightly different externally. Aside from that the main difference is branding, equipment, colours and pricing. I was lucky enough to have an Aygo for a week recently and it's a fantastic ...
...a Citroën interior than a Toyota one, but with the Toyota feeling of quality. It may be basic and small, and cheap too, but it still has all the equipment you'll need - radio/cd player, power steering, airbags, ABS, air-con (in some variants), front electric windows (likewise) etc. It's very easy to drive, and quite good fun too. For a small car it even manages reasonable length journeys pretty well, although the engine gets a bit louder at higher ...

Toyota Aygo 1.0

Advantages: Quite cheap, very cheap insurance and running costs, quality
Disadvantages: Too small, expensive extras

Go easy on me, this is my first review. My trust Polo recently decided it had seen better days and was in need of a rest so I decided to start looking around for second hand cars. A relative has an Aygo so to get a feel of the car I traded for the week to get a good feel of the car. At first I was not too keen on the overall look of the car, it seems like it is very squashed on first impression but it does really grow on you. It looks kind of sporty ...
...is all black, selecting the colouring is very peculiar as certain colours only come in certain types of the car (so you have to pay thousands more to get a certain colour which is off putting). Very small boot, I could just about fit in all my shopping in there, and my German Shepherd wouldn't be too pleased in getting flattened in there for her walks! An average price for an Aygo is about £7,000, I was tempted to look at brand new models as they ...

Aygo - I Went - I Got

Advantages: Easy to park, Easy to Drive, not to mention Georgous
Disadvantages: Blind Spot

I purchased one of these gorgous little cars back in March (wanted the new plate!) I was very scared as it was my first purchase of a new car and had spent quite a bit on this car more than i had on my first car. But i have to say 9 months and 10,000 miles later i LOVE it! It has given me no problems whatsoever. For me a city girl who needs a sexy little run around that wont let her down this is the perfect car. Even people who say it is too small ...
...everyone was comfortable. The boot is on the smaller side (hachbacks always are) but i have had a pushchair and a few bags of shopping in there no problem. The fact that it already had a CD player was a great bonus this car has everything you would expect in a higher class car but for a cheaper price tag, the electric windows, the power steering and also an AUX(audio/MP3) imput to play your music through. The only thing i would say is bad for this ...

...have a reputation of running forever and being extremely reliable. If you need a small city car, go and buy the Toyota IQ, the build quality is more like you would expect from Toyota and as soon as our warranty expires, we will be trading it in for the IQ. ...

Aygo, excellent for leanring

Advantages: small sturdy and reliable
Disadvantages: Tiny boot and basic

As a 17 year old learning today like most I was desperate for a car, luckily I got a good deal for a new aygo. For a learner you couldnt ask for more a very small engine keeping insurance road tax and all those other little costs down. Learning in it is perfect, the wing mirrors offer a huge range of vision. The car is small enough to fit in to all kinds of little parking spaces. Even though it is a small little car it is still quite quick, with ...
...Even the most basic modle has everything that you coudl really need, CD and radio with the ability to conect to any MP3 players that you need. The back seats can fit 2 people in comfortable, however if you are much over 6 foot then a long journey in the back definatly wouldnt be comfortable. The most basic modle although stylish and comfortable does lack basic functions these mainly being air con and electric windows. However the seats are incredible ...

A great little car to drive

Advantages: Looks, Fuel economy, Nice to drive
Disadvantages: Size of boot

...Type R to buy a Toyota Aygo (rising fuel and insurance costs, and ability to teach my spouse to drive). I was very pleasantly surprised on my first test drive; the Aygo's 67bhp engine was much more lively that I expected it would be (MUCH better than the old 1.2L Corsa we had; obviously nothing like a 198bhp Civic Type R but the Aygo certainly doesn't feel sluggish). I've had the Aygo two months now, and it's been fantastic. The engine takes 600 ...
...period. The car looks - to my eyes - much better than the internally-identical Citroen C1 and Peugeot 107. And the 1.0L engine sips at fuel, giving me about 60mpg driving to and from work in town and a touch of motorway running. Although initially the car felt nice to drive, it has a 'certain something' that has grown on me and I enjoy driving it day to day. It's difficult for me to pinpoint what it is that attracts me to it, but it's there. The ...
