Advantages: Good family MPV Disadvantages: Expensive compared to competition
...miles in my 08 plate Toyota Corolla Verso SR D4D (140bhp) mini MPV in silver. It can be a two seater with a boot the size of a small van (a blow up double mattress will lie flat in the back) a spacious 5 seater with ample head, leg and shoulder room all round and a large boot big enough for a dog cage and push chair or a 7 seater minibus (with very limited boot space - enough for a few squashed up coats).
It has cruise control, a six speed manual ... ...and front fog lights. The CD player also reads mp3 format disks. Best of all it has duel zone climate control and rear privacy glass to help keep it cool.
When driving around town the computer shows that I average 60 mpg and on the motorway over 70 mpg. However this is about 10% over the real consumption as my lowest self calculated mpg was 52 mpg rising to 60 mpg as a best ever on a full tank.
Refinement is good as the gear ratios are set perfect.

This review relates to the new (2004) 1.8 MMt T3 model.
This is one fantastic car. Never thought anything could be as goodas my Honda which I really wanted to keep, but it is.
We checked out most of the MPV'S and borrowed a few for the day. The Renault Scenic came close but when it comes to the finish quality there really is no contest.
Loads of room inside although still compact outside. I think its a tardis.
Interiior finish suggests a much ... ...Seven seats, which all fold flat to create great flat load area,but last two only for kids or very short journeys without luggage.
Climate control, ABs, cruise control, traction control,cd,, disk brakes all round,auto wipers and trip computer all standard.
Both driver and passenger seats fully adjustable and you have good height for visability.
Airbags are everywhere.
Cheap to insure, group 5?
Multi Mode Transmission which is either clutchless ...

I have owned this 2004 model T - Spirit for almost 12months now and covered long and short journeys in this time.
The general spec for the vehicle is:-
7 seats
Driver, Passenger,Side curtain airbags.
1.8 VVT petrol engine giving a claimed 115bhp
Disc brakes all round with ABS and Toyotas own braking system(complicated safety feature that you cant really tell if it is working or not).
Traction control, Cruise control, rain detectors, chromatic ... ...alarm and immobiliser,roof rails, mettalic paint, alloy wheels(5 spoke) and an ICE system that includes DVD player and screens in headrests.
All of the above is standard fit to the T- spirit and comes with a lovely cloth interior.
Inside the vehicle you feel like you are very safe and the 5 star encap rating reassures you about this. In fact it is the only car in its class to obtain the 5 star rating in the US aswell as the rest of the world.

...car and have always trusted toyota as a dealer. It's a great car, very good visiblity the large wing mirrors help with this! There is a large boot space perfect for those bulky items needed with a young family, along with the weekly shop. Back seats tuck away nicely to enable you to have a very large space for carrying things other than passengers (had bed frames, mattresses in there!) We have a child and the fact that the car has built in boosters ...

I personally have one of these and I can say that it is an excellent family car apart from a cuple of things. Firstly there isnt much room in the boot or the back of the car. Secondly the speakers in the back are far too quiet. The best point about this car is that it has EXCELLENT fuel consumption!!!Another problem I have with this car is that I quiet like gadgets and new technology....and I can say this has none of that unless you buy the best ...
