“MR2 G Limited”

Good fun, stands out in the crowd

Very low to the road, job to get hold of a manual

We bought our MR2 two years ago. It was up for sale outside our local and I fell in love with the shape. To cut a long story short, we bought it for £2,000. The last owner was a mechanic so it had been well looked after. We were told that the engine was very noisy as it is a mid-engined car...

Sports Car for the money of a hatchback

You will spin out at some point

Plodding up and down the M1 is never fun. A round trip for me from Folkestsone to Leed was a few miles shy of 600... The car that I used for this mega trip was a bog standard Vectra 1.6. Underpowered and Sales Exec-tastic it did the job. When the need to travel this distance was no longer...

“Toyota MR2 Sport coupe”

Good looking, great fun (once in a while)

Not the best handling of cars

When I bought this car i genuinely thought that it would be the buy of the century but i was wrong apart the water pump seizing there where many proplems to arise from the roadster. The main of the problems i had where all pointing to a poor service life so i cant hold that against the car but...

In the uk this model is relatively cheap for what you get, I paid £3000. 2000CC engine give instant and responsive power to the rear wheels. A little sluggish in 2nd gear between 2000 and 2500 rpm but once above 3000 rpm your head jolts back and the car takes off. I'm very impressed with the road...

Have to say this is one of the best cars I have owned and I have owned a lot, the car handles corners like it is on rails, acceleration is great you know you can quickly get out of nearly any problems. Mine has been lowered on Koni adjustables which help with cornering but doesn't like the bumps...

Ok i have been an owner of an mr2 for 2 years now and i love it!!!! The car itself is comfortable and fantastic to drive considering they are getting on a bit. As long as the car is left standard the drive itself should have no problems whatsoever. The engines are bomb proof ( not actual bomb...
