Advantages: One stop shop, good prices Disadvantages: Inflexible, the annoying pop-ups
*Intro*
I'd read about this website in the travel section of my Sunday paper. It sounded so good that for my summer trip Inter-Railing in Europe (also see my review of my hotel in Paris), I decided to give it a try. The site is part of MoneySupermarket.com. What is does is basically search the Internet for you. So rather than visit Lastminute.com, Opodo, Travelocity, you just use one site. Why spend hours trawling through sites, when one does it ... ...will get a bargain.
Of course, the site claims to search a vast number of travel sites (and I'm sure it does), but it doesn't search the entire Internet - none of theses sites do. So you are never guaranteed the best possible price. I think it is important to stress this. The home page is far too busy for my liking, as I prefer simple website design. There are banner ads, and links to services such as "e-mail alerts to this week's best buys" and ...

Advantages: Searches some big names for flights Disadvantages: Can be SLOW ... Limited destinations
The Travelsupermarket.com site uses the same "deep linking" web search technology as Insuresupermarket.com. (see my comments on their Home and Car insurance search facility.)
It asks the basic questions about destination and dates etc, and then links to appropriate flights web sites to find the "cheapest" flights available.
The advantage is it can look at many sites for you. :)
The disadvantages are it can be very slow in bringing back sensible ... ...pet hate is the popups...!!!! :(
Had no success as yet with UK domestic internal flights.
Also I found that you need to be careful that the flight seen in their search results is still available ..... flights are very quick to go and the best cheap flights can and do disappear within a very short time. But in spite of all that I do actually use it...!!! ...!!! ...
