Advantages: economical , reliable and fast Disadvantages: uncomfortable for long journeys
When i first took the Triumph Sprint out i was very surprised with the smooth and powerful response to the throttle. She handles well and i found it quite comfortable .
I wasn't sure what a 3 cylinder engined bike would be like but was pleasently surprised. There were no vibrations from the tripple as i had expected and a lovely smooth tone to the exhaust, although the engine does sound noisey compared to the later models , this one was registered ... ...being a bike mechanic i couldn't but help thinking what they could be , although now i don't even notice them.
It's engine puts out 108bhp which is plenty powerful enough , she'll do over 150 mph ( so i've been told ). There is plenty of torque at lower revs and great acceleration using the higher rev range, pulling away the front wheel gets very light and you have to be careful not to wheelie the bike , also in the wet the rear tends to spin easily ...

Advantages: Nippy commuter. Disadvantages: Cramped and thirsty.
...couple of weeks while my triumph trophy was in for service. It was in orange so you couldnt miss seeing it.
I found it to be small as i ride a much bigger bike, it is very nippy then i realised it has a 955i engine in it. A 3 cylinder so it had a nice sound to it.
It is a sports riding position so can be uncomfortable for distance work as your weight is carried through your wrists.
It would be good for short distance commuting through a big city ... ...that it the kind of commuting i do and it coped but at the end of the journey i found it tiring and will stick with the 1200cc Trophy.
I think it would be quite easy to break the speed limit on it without realising as it is small light and powerful. But it does handle very well as a good sports bike should but didnt get chance to try on a track or country lanes.
I would suit a shorter person as im over 6 foot and found it to be quite a cramped ...
