    Advantages Advantages V8 rumble looks to die for a real pleasure to drive pre 1973 NO ROAD TAX!!!

    ***EDITED VERSION OF AN EARLY REVIEW,THANKS FOR LOOKING*** TRIUMPH STAG 3.0 V BRITISH AND PROUD OF IT I started to get into classic cars years ago and only last year did I buy an old MK1 Stag for a bit of fun.It was a 1972 model and Tax exempt,had only had 4 owners and low miles just 55,000 but was on its second engine,a new old stock MK2 unit fitted back in 1982.It had alot of history going back to the end of the 70s and loads of MOTs backing up the mileage.Even had club valuation for £10K,not that means alot as that was done in the 90s.It had been extensively restored so bodily had no major ... more

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Needs to be treated like a princess, but she is one!

    Why buy an old car when you can get a new one? Well, if you haven't driven a Stag you will never know! Other than the E type Jag this is the princess of all cars. It is a 4 seater (or maybe 5 at a push) sports car with the wonderful benefit of having a good removable hard top for use in winter or a bad English summer. Early engines had a habit of having problems with their head gaskets but with modern technology this has been resolved. If you are interested in owning one don't be put off by the state of a prospective purchase or the work needed to put it right; it is better to buy a really ... more
