Shield of Thunder is the second in the Troy Trilogy being written and released by classic Fantasy writer David Gemmell.
Gemmell has a great history of writing fantasy books and with this series he's brought the idea of swords and sorcery to a famous tale.

I am an avid reader of all Gemmell books and found the Troy series to be just as absorbing as all his other novels. Unfortunately to all those who dont know David Gemmell died on 28th July 2006 bringing and end to an amazing author thanks for the adventures rest in peace David.

Advantages: High Excitement Disadvantages: Can't put it down
This novel is a follow up to Lord of the Silver Bow and is set at a time when the war of Troy is looming and all of the Kings are congregating each with their own plans for conquest. Shield of Thunder returns the reader back to the time of Ancient Greece, an age of warriors and heroes, a time of myths and legends. Into series come three characters, Piria, a runaway priestess, and two great warriors, Kalliades and Banokles.
