    Advantages Advantages Develope films cheaply.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Have to write a cheque!

What do you get if you cross a recent holiday to Tenerife with a house move? Any ideas? No? It is really simple… Okay I will tell you. Twenty-Seven exposed camera films. Well it does in my house! Both Shane and I have this horrible habit of taking many photos but we forget to have films developed, so they have been known to sit around the house or in a camera for years. (I am sure we are not the only ones). I even found two 126 film during the move! The majority of films found were 35mm and as we were unsure what the picture were of, so we both thought that we would use Truprint to develop ... more

    Advantages Advantages Great value

    Disadvantages Disadvantages A bit slow

In my humble opinion, Truprint is the spankiest company that ever lived. I have a bit of a photo obsession, in fact it could prove to be rather bankrupting were it not for the lovely helpful people at Truprint. For example, I arrived home from my month long holiday round the Mediterranean last year (it's hard being a student) carrying a large red fluffy carpet (from Delphi you know, but that's another story) an exciting suntan, a bottle of strange liqueur given to me by a raving Spanish man and fifteen camera films to develop. In the old days, before I discovered the wonders of Truprint, these ... more

Advantages Advantages all of the above

Disadvantages Disadvantages if you want your photo's back in a hurry take them to an express processing lab

Remember the annoying advert from a few years ago, a glorious summers day and that woman with big white teeth and a huge smile saying "smile it's Truprint". I now use Truprint to have my photographs developed and I have been more than happy with their service. I used to use Jessops to have my photographs developed, but I thought that at nearly £7 for a 36 roll of film, they were getting a bit expensive, also, I thought that the colours were not as bright as they could be, they were coming back quite dark. I had a Truprint envelope and I took a film and took some snaps around the house/garden ... more

    Advantages Advantages Free films, cheap

Disadvantages Disadvantages maybe waiting a few days for your photos

It was one of those free envelopes that you get with the usual collection of junk in the middle of a magazine that got me started. We had 2 films of the kids at christmas to get developed, and living some way from a town where we could get them developed it seemed like an excellent idea. For only £2.49 each and £1.10 postage and packing for the 2 films you cant complain at that, ESPECIALLY when you recieve a FREE film for every one that you get developed. Since Christmas we havnt bought a single film , and I am sure that if we travelled to boots and got the films developed it would cost ... more

I have been getting my photo's developed via Truprint for about 4 years now and I have to say they are great. If you haven't tried these before your definately missing out. You can get the green envelopes in which you send your undeveloped film off , at the postoffice. At the moment the offer is 49p for development of a single use camera film. The envelopes are green plastic and you pop in your film and cheque and post it freepost to Truprint. A compact print up to 27 exposures costs 1.49. You can have 30% bigger for 1.99 100% bigger for 2.49 and APS for 3.49 You get a free film back with ... more

I'd just like to say that I find Truprint to be a very good service. Since having a baby we have taken millions of photos and it was getting a bit expensive and I was getting fed up of going into town to drop off films and pick up photos. So I used the Truprint envelope out of a magazine, these used to really annoy me falling out all over the place but now I think they are great. I sent off my film, a 24exp, and requested an extra set of piccis (for the pround Grandparents). The total price was only £4.14. I was amazed, this was two sets of pictures (not the biggest, not the smallest), a 24exp ... more

Advantages Advantages There are no advantages

Disadvantages Disadvantages Not a professional service, waste of money

I have now tried Truprint of two occasions, unfortunately both times proved to be a disaster. The photos came back with a very yellow finish and I had to have them redone by a high street store. The first time I thought it was an oversight on the part of Truprint and I returned them asking that they reprint without the yellow hue. They came back with little or no improvement, I took a chance a second time (silly me!) and enclosed a letter to them asking that they be careful not to overexpose them again in this yellow hue, however they did just that and the photos came back yellow. I have asked ... more

Advantages Advantages Cheap and easy to use

Disadvantages Disadvantages Slow at returning the photos

My extended family and I spent a fantastic holiday in The Algarve at the beginning of April this year and as you would expect took many rolls of film. My husband and I and my parents both sent off our 35mm films (3 for us and 4 for them) as soon as we got back due to the fact that Easter was just around the corner which we suspected may result in Truprint being inundated with films for processing. Only a day separated ours and my parents being posted off and it was just coincidence that we both used Truprint. The procedure for sending them off was very straight forward - just a matter of ... more

    Advantages Advantages Prices, free film

Disadvantages Disadvantages junk mail, difficult for customers to contact

One of the better known and most successful mail-order photo companies, Truprint offers a good range of photographic services, including 35mm, APS and 110 prints, as well as reprints and enlargements. A major selling point is undoubtedly the prices, which do tend to be noticeably cheaper than those found in most shops and include a free replacement film. However, note that one free film is provided for each film envelope sent in, NOT for each film sent for processing. Therefore, it might be wise to send films in separate envelopes. Moreover, the photos do tend to be returned with rather a lot ... more

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None

As its holiday time, I thought I'd write an op on something we all use - photo processing. I've always been one for popping into town, dropping off my films and paying through the nose for next day phot processing. This I was finding was costing me around 8 quid a go, so when a Truprint envelope dropped out of my Sunday paper (with all the other leaflets!!) I decided togive it a go. The prices are superb - from 1.99 for upto 27 exposures at 5" x 3.5" size to just 2.49 for 40 exposures at 7" x 5" size. It costs an extra 2.99 to receive your pictures on a CD and a new 35mm 36 exposure film costs ... more
