This is quite a well made controller and it worked first time with both PC games under XP and on the PS2, however I can't really recommend it. Using it with the PS2 on Gran Tourismo, it was almost impossible to steer the cars round the track. We have two controllers - this and the original Sony and you know that who-ever's got the Sony wins the race. This has such a bad dead spot on the straight ahead position on the joysticks that it's almost un-usable for driving games. Pity - it looks and feels good. Shame it doesn't work well - unless I'm missing something.

The 1500 is wired for both PC and Playstation connectivity. It is most compatible as a Playstation gamepad; on USB some games don't work when it is switched to analogue where my other gamepads [Saitek] do. On a Playstation it feels and behaves every bit like a real PS controller - both analogue and digital mode. The techy stuff; when you switch between analogue and digital, on USB connection, it doesn't drive all the datawords on the interface whereas on the Playstation connection it does. Saitek gamepads, on a usb connection, do drive all the datawords when switching between digital or analogue mode. Maybe the PC games are not conforming to the interface standard however this gamepad is more compatible on the Playstation connection.
