I have just finished reading this book and my first thought was that I had to write a Ciao review to tell you all what an enjoyable read it was! As I have said before I don't often read chick lit but after having enjoyed a Sophie Kinsella book before I was looking forward to reading another one and so Twenties GIrl found it's way into my bookshelves and I am very glad that it did! Another one of Sophie Kinsella's excellent reads. The scene at the beginning of the book ropes you right in and you know after the first page it is not going to be a book that you are going to put down and discard. Lara has just split up from her boyfriend and she is lead to belive by her cousin that she is an absolute failure in business. A family funeral releases a powerful gift that Lara did not know what she had or even wanted to have. This review is completely my opinion... I bought this look as soon as it came out, having read all her others and thoroughly enjoying them all. This one is no different. It is brilliantly written with characters to whom you can completely relate. It is easy to read and there are places where you will laugh out loud (well, I did at least!!). In my opinion, there is one downside and that is that this book is very similar to others in the 'chic lit' genre. Ie. Girl finds Guy, Girl and Guy fall for each other, Girl and Guy fall out over misunderstandings, Girl and Guy get back together. This meant ... more
