Advantages Advantages Indoor and outdoor fun, loads to do

Disadvantages Disadvantages Busy in School Holidays

At the very end of the summer holidays we decided to try something a bit different...we had been told about Twin Lakes, an adventure park just in Melton Mowbray,a few weeks before and off we trundled. Advantages Advantages Good Rides for little ones.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Can be Crowded on Theme Days.

We were thinking of taking the Kids and Grand Kiddies for Sunday Dinner, but Abigail (A Twin Lakes Regular) said how about a Picknik at Twin Lakes. So the Last but one Sunday in September off we went, Weather Forecast was for a dry day . We were picked up by Son-in -law Clive and taken to Abigail's House where the Other ones had gathered. A nice large car park with stewards organising the parking in neat lines. Luck would have it we had to ... more

    Advantages Advantages Previous welcoming experience

Disadvantages Disadvantages Very poor experience and poor follow up by organisation

As a young adult with autism I visited twin lakes in 2005 with two friends/carers. Although the Twinlake's leaflet states that adults without children are not allowed into Twinlakes we were led to understand that this rule did not apply to me because I have special needs and that we would be able to visit again. They seemed very accommodating which is now puzzling considering what was to come. We made a return visit in 2007 which had to be a last minute decision. We were shocked and very upset to find that people with special needs that were not accompanied by children were not allowed into ... more

Advantages Advantages toilets are availblle before you enter the park

Disadvantages Disadvantages staff are unknowledge-rude and need to review their own policies before dishing advice

This is a extremely predudice park with ultimalty the rudest staff, Descriminating aganist the gay minority.. The website does not disclose that the child must be under 14 to enter the park and that you must have a child to enter the park..The receptionist when you arrive do not hesitate to make you feel and look STUPID.As apparantly this is viewed on the website which has been under maintenance for a while.. My personal experiance has left me feeling disgusted..I will view my concerns to whomever i can to avoid anyone from feeling the way we did... After coming home i rechecked the website ... more
