4 Stars UGGINGTASTIC Review with images 26/08/2010

Advantages Advantages Snug, warm, comfy and well worth the money!

Disadvantages Disadvantages Pricey and can make your feet very hot at times

I have always looked at UGGS and have wanted a pair but the price tag has put me off for such a slouchy pair of boots. It really is all about the label with UGGS or so I thought. The original UGG AUSTRALIA boots that have been the craze have been around for several years now. But I have not liked the funny shape around the front of the boots. Two years ago I purchased the knitted UGG AUSTRALIA boots from ebay but I resold them after one wear because they just fell off the back of my heels and I had bought a size smaller so I couldn't understand this. So this put me off UGGS even more because ... more

Last Christmas I was thrilled to be given a pair of classic tall Ugg boots. I had wanted a pair for ages; although at around £190 they were out of my price range! I had considered buying a pair of cheaper imitation boots, but they neither looked nor felt as good in my opinion. It really did have to be the real thing or nothing for me! Most people will be aware of Ugg boots as they have been a popular for some time now. However let me briefly tell you what you get for all that money. Ugg boots are an Australian creation and are now sold all over the world. There are many different styles and ... more

    Advantages Advantages appearance, waterproof

Disadvantages Disadvantages price, wear down quicker than some

For quite a while, I was anti-Ugg. When the craze sweeped the country, I wasn't at all impressed. I thought they looked bulky and unsightly. However, I eventually was persuaded to like them, and actually found myself wanting a pair too, which was quite surprising. I didn't bother with them though, until I received my firstg pair for a Christmas, and from then on I found them more appealing than ever! The main appeal about Uggs is that they are to provied comfort whilst being suitable footwear for the colder months (there are more 'Summery' Uggs released now, but this was the initial idea). I ... more

Advantages Advantages Very comfortable, keep feet warm in winter

Disadvantages Disadvantages Cannot wear in the rain, expensive

UGGs are like marmite, you either love them or you hate them. I know that some will argue that the UGG style of shoes is well, UGGly, but I personally quite like the look of them as a casual shoe. I purchased a pair of the classic tall UGGs in chestnut brown last winter. I bought these in House of Fraser when they had a discount weekend on. I got these for £160 instead of the full price which was £210 at the time. However I have just checked the House of Fraser website and I notice that this year the same boots are being sold for £200. This pair of boots was actually my second pair of UGGs. I ... more

Advantages Advantages good boot, can be worn all year round, different colours

Disadvantages Disadvantages can get addicted to buying more pairs!

This review is on the classic UGG boot in the 'tall' style, I have this style in the chocolate colour which is a rich brown. I know that Ugg Boots have been round for what seem to be like ages now, however after a few pairs of cheap £10 imitations just to find myself walking on the inside of the boot I found it was time to invest in some of the real ones. I didn't really expect much from them, just a warm, winter boot, all I really wanted was for them not to turn over, but how much had I underestimated these boots I wonder?!?! I purchased the chocolate colour of the classic Tall. I purchased ... more

    Advantages Advantages comfortable and warm

Disadvantages Disadvantages don't grip too well

I'm staying with my parents for a weekend, and packed very lightly! The next thing I know it's freezing and we're off to Newcastle to watch the football. I start my moaning routine......I'm not god with the cold. So off I go in search of a few pairs of socks to layer up and keep my toes warm. This is when my sister says "you can wear my Uggs if you like, they're really warm!". After looking at them and having another moan about how I'd never wear them I decided that on this occasion comfort and warmth was going to be the winner. I put on the Uggs, not sure how they would feel, and I haven't ... more

This is my third pair of classic tall Ugg boots. I've been wearing them for years now and I love them as they are so so comfortable. I've had them in sand, chocolate brown, and this time I have the chestnut. I found the sand to be the least practical colour of the 3, they are far too light in my opinion, they show the dirt and get grubby far too quickly, especially when they are so expensive. The chocolate brown colour was definately the most practical colour, they are so dark that they don't show stains and marks as easily. The chestnut are definately a lot more practical than the sand, but ... more

    Advantages Advantages warm and durable

Disadvantages Disadvantages can lose shape if wet and not dried properly

Winter is fast approaching and it's time to drag out your boots from the wardrobe to keep your feet warm and I have the best pair of Ugg Boots to warm my feet, they are the Classic tall Ugg boots and I bought them last year from an online store. I have to say I have worn them a lot last year and they are very comfy. The Ugg boots Classic tall are expensive boots and cost from £127 up to £140 but if you search online as I did you can find them cheaper. I bought mine from www.whoogaboots.co.uk for £77 which is a whopping saving and I didn't mid paying the postage as I was still saving money. The ... more

Advantages Advantages Really warm and comfortable

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Look awful, expensive

I received a pair of UGG boots as a birthday present in March of last year and from the moment I saw them I absolutely hated them. Both the real UGG boots and the cheaper copies have been pretty popular for quite some time now and I have to say I've always disliked them. To me they look bulky, clumsy, shapeless and ugly. I don't like them when they're worn over jeans and the 'tall' style is too chunky to get under jeans or trousers. I can honestly say that nothing about the design appeals to me in any way shape or form. The actual pair/design I received was the above mentioned classic tall ... more

    Advantages Advantages Great boots

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Expensive

Uggly Boots??? I have to admit that when I first saw UGG Boots I was not the biggest fan. A friend of mine had a pair before they became popular and I remember thinking she looked really silly in them and that I would never buy a pair. Fast forward a few years and inevitably I now own three wonderful pairs. My three pairs that are own are two of the classic short and one pair of the classic tall Ugg Boots. I have gone back to them time and time again because they have lasted really well, are comfortable and fun to wear and I am now looking at buying a pair of the Cardi ones, the ones that look ... more
