Remember the old days? Those DIY days when you had to use nails in order to make sure that thing stuck together. Whacking them in with the heaviest hammer that you could get your hands on. Hammering the nails into the piece of wood so that it will stay in place for as long as you hope it would. Then, still in the olds days, when you had to use the strongest of screws to make that join stronger than just using nails. Well, these days you can put away that hammer, saving you squashing your ringers and thumbs when things go a little wrong. And you can keep you screwdrivers safely in your cupboard ... more

This more of an update that for the first time in my life l can say that the things that l have fixed are still together so go and buy it and have fun..... Remember that bookcase you promised to put together? What about that coffee table which will just about take the weight of one coffee cup and that’s when it’s empty. Somewhere in the house there is always something that needs to be done. A list mysteriously appears on a Bank holiday, and the thought of having to dig out the hammer, nails can be a deterrent in itself. Well somewhere in this world a real smartass has come up with a solution ... more

Advantages Advantages IT'S CHEAPER THAN A HAMMER

Disadvantages Disadvantages IT'S USELESS FOR 'AWKWARD' ITEMS SUCH AS DRAWER-BOTTOMS

The TV advert had lodged itself in my memory bank ... a chap sitting on a chair which was, for some unexplained reason, suspended half way up a wall ~ thanks to the extraordinary sticking power of UniBond's NO MORE NAILS. Well the DIY job which I had in mind didn't include any gravity-defying stunts involving items of furniture ~ I merely wanted to replace the bottoms of some old drawers in a 'chest-of-drawers'. Now this particular item of furniture doesn't bear the quality hallmarks of Waring and Gillow craftsmanship ~ in fact it is perhaps most kindly described as "cheap, wobbly, mass ... more

Advantages Advantages Easy to use, reasonably priced, no ultra strong smell, very effective.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None.

No More Nails is an extremely strong adhesive that is available in a few different varieties such as No More Nails On a Roll, No More Nails Instant Grab Adhesive & the original No More Nails which is what my review is based on. I purchased a 300ml tube for around £3.00 from my local Wilkinsons and I received 50% extra free which was a fantastic bargain. The tube is a strong plastic with the instructions on how to use the No More Nails as well as a hanging tab for hanging up in store and it has a screw top lid to avoid it drying out. To use this is pretty simple just ensure that the surface is ... more

Unibond No More Nails is a revalation! As my darling husband was in foreign parts I needed something to occupy myself and decided to revamp our sitting room and impress him with my prowess upon his return. I decided to install a dado rail having never attempted anything on the D.I.Y front before in my life. Husband sent numerous email warnings about putting nails into electricity cables for the ultimate perm and almost deterred me from the project entirely. I then happened upon Unibond No More Nails in my local D.I.Y store and realised this may be my holy grail. It was! My dado rail went up ... more

Advantages Advantages Non-messy, reasonably priced, quick drying and very strong

Disadvantages Disadvantages can be too strong

No more nails is a strong relativley uick drying adhesive that stick pretty much anything to pretty much anything else. I've used it for endless DIY jobs around the house and find it far better than many other so-called super glues on the market. The Product I'll stick to reviewing the no more nails for interior use as this is the one that I use most. It's also available in exterior grade and a variety of special purpose types. No more nails is supplied in a plastic tube heavily branded with the name in bold. The plastic tube is much like a toothpast tube and can be rolled from the bottom ... more

Well hello there and welcome, come on in and wipe your feet. You are just about to read a review about something that isn't the most exciting but please do make yourself at home. Ring a ding ding let’s do this thing! So what’s this all about then Mr P? No more nails you say. Um interesting! So you telling me that I can get away without using nails for a lot of things that may previously need them? This is what the claim of Unibond no more nails is, and true to their form that statement is 100% true. Whoopee, no false advertising just plain and simple truth that’s what we the customer wants ... more

No More Nails by Unibond is an amazing adhesive. It actually does what it professes to do! Let me explain. I actually won some of this stuff as part of a prize of DIY materials. Anyone who reads my opinions regularly will know I’m always doing competitions or sending for freebies so I get all sorts of weird and wonderful stuff to try! This product is in a tube and has the look and consistency of thick cream and no, I can’t vouch for the taste before anyone asks! On the front of the tube it claims to bond wood, plastic, brick, metal, glass, ceramics and plaster. You just have to ... more

Advantages Advantages not nails and doesn't need a hammer, easy to use

Disadvantages Disadvantages does not stick to uneven surfaces or bowed walls

I thought that this stuff would be the answer to my dreams. I have had to do lots of DIY in my house- it's an old stone house with lots of rooms and we are still doing it up after 15 years of living in it. Well, you know you're never finished, and it's like the Forth Bridge-when you've finished , you need to start again because the first room you did looks like crap by this time!. So the first job I had to do was to stick a bit of battening to the wall so i could attach a tiny roller blind for my little bathroom window. Bliss. As the battening was only about 2 feet long, and wasn't very heavy ... more

I recently decorated my bathroom and tiled all the walls. To seal the cavity between the bath and the wall I used Unibond bathroom and Kitchen Acrylic sealant. I applied the sealant and allowed the recommended time for it to go off and set, that being between 12 and 24 hours. The sealant appeared to have set, however when we used the shower the sealant became soft and ran, rendering it useless. In desperation I telephone the Unibond help line displayed on the tube just to ask for advice. I told the technical assistant the problem I had experienced and the time limits I had on allowing the ... more
