    Advantages Advantages Range of colours

Disadvantages Disadvantages Where shall I begin? You'd better read on...

I’m quite a fan of Urban Decay make-up; the eye shadows are my particular favourites. They have a fantastically wide range of bold, shimmering colours which always seem to stand out from the other brands. Not only do they look good though they actually wear really well, they last all day or night and look just as good at the end of the day as they do when you first put them on. I don’t begrudge paying £10 for them because I know they actually look great (they look great on everyone by the way, I’m not being arrogant!). Unfortunately the same cannot be said for the nail enamels. I don’t seem to ... more

Advantages Advantages Nice and easy to use brush, no staining is achieved and it's easy to remove

Disadvantages Disadvantages Mostly everything is bad about this product to be honest

When it comes to nail polish I can't get enough of the stuff! I love painting my toe nails and wouldn't dream or leaving them shoddy looking or going out with no polish on! I use polish once or twice a week and have a massive collection and lets face it girls we can find it so cheap around and about if you keep your eyes peeled for bargains so it's easy to purchase. One of my favourite brands of cosmetics is the amazing Urban Decay. I love everything (but the price of the stuff) from the names of the products, to the style of the packaging to the colours I can choose from within the range. I'm ... more

Advantages Advantages Nice bottle. That's about it.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Expensive, chips extremely easily, very smelly.

So last weekend my boyfriend’s Mum got re-married. Having bought a dress with matching bag and hair accessories a few weeks previous, I tried it on the week of the wedding only to discover that it made me look like a blimpy potato. So off I tripped to Milton Keynes (or ‘The Centre: MK’, as it would like to be known) to get myself a whole new outfit. Such hardship! Remarkably, within only four hours of shopping time (‘WHAT?!’, scream the men!) I had found a beautiful dress, matching drapey shawl thingy, matching bra and knickers, shoes AND bag. Don’t you love it when you have a good shopping ... more

    Advantages Advantages Stunning colours

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Careful application needed!!

I found this product on a recent visit to a cosmetics website. I had been doing an order for all those essential items (and a little Christmas shopping too!! (i'm not mad - just spreading the cost), when I came across the Urban Decay range of nail varnishes. What caught my eye was the fantastic colours and the great names given to these colours. Names such as Hot Pants / AC DC (a metallic purple) / Bruise / Cult / Graffiti (a blue-grey with lavendar) / Toxin (decribed as a semi-sheer holographic purple) and Exhaust (lavendar with silver flecks) to name a few. The prices ranged from £2.50 to £3 ... more

Advantages Advantages Can be found cheaply,

Disadvantages Disadvantages limited shade selection, brush, wear, discontinued.

    - - - - - - - - - - - The formula - - - - - - - - - - - The best thing about Urban Decay polishes for me had to be the choice in finishes they offered: They had a few creme finishes, but they specialised in glitters and shimmers which weren't commonly found when I was younger, outside of the Constance Carroll selection in the corner shop. If I wanted to be really exotic they also had a metallic finish and a holographic one too. And all of the different finishes were so smooth [except Midnight Cowboy] on application - even the ones that contain glitter - and dried in a nice shine. I was also ... more

    Advantages Advantages Gorgeous original colours

Disadvantages Disadvantages Chips if you so much as touch it

While wandering through Boots last week looking for something to spend my Advantage card points on, I was drawn (as usual!) to the Urban Decay section where I found the most gorgeous array of nail colours ever to grace my sight. The metallic shades came in a range of original eye catching colours (and are not tested on animals) and after much deliberation, I finally decided on 'Freakshow' (hmmm... now what does that say about me?), a two tone pinky/purple shade which has an iridescent blue tint where it catches the light. The packaging of these nail varnishes is simple but classy- the contrast ... more

Advantages Advantages Good colour, easy to apply

Disadvantages Disadvantages Chips easily, expensive, bad texture.

I was first drawn to buy this nail varnish because when i tried it on in Boots it looked fabulous- sparkly, shiny and smooth. However i did not give it time to totally dry before i bought a bottle. I bought the colour (Midnight Cowboy) to match an eye shadow- a glittery beige. However because of the glitter the varnish is rough and feels a bit like you have stuck sand paper on to your nails. The problem can be rectified slightly by applying one coat of the nail varnish and about three clear top coats. Another problem with the glitter is that it is absolutley murder to remove, it is literally ... more
