Advantages: Great allrounder
Disadvantages: Bit fiddly changing from vacuuming to washing

...on her 3 in 1 Vax (very helpful) containing history of company amongst other tips, I decided to buy one. After scouring the Argos & Index catalogues, I settled for a Vax 6151sx. Advantages: Proper piece of cleaning kit
Disadvantages: Oh so many different bits to change for different jobs

...before you could say ' Vax cleaning fluid is £3.50 a bottle and only lasts a few goes ' it was like an episode of How Clean Is Your House !! Carpet, sofa, kitchen floor etc... Previously pretty grubby carpet now pretty clean, kitchen floor sparkling, but sofa not so good, but better than it was...... Swapping from wet cleaner to using it as a regular dry vacuum cleaner requires a good bit of swapping parts, but it's worth it to see the results ... Read review

...it was very rare for Vax vacuum cleaners to show up and from experience of my home use, Hoover, Dyson and Electrolux barely survived any time at all but to be fair, all of my vacuums seem to be neglected. Vax always seems to take the beating though. These are good all round vacuum cleaners (wet/dry vacuum). They are powerful, with variable power, can be used as a carpet washer, have a turbo brush (ideal if you have pets) and have a good size dustbag. ... Read review

Disadvantages: No storage for the mains wire and plug which tends to get twisted.

Purchased Vax 6151SX after my second hand Dyson completely died !!! Before buying the Vax I thoroughly researched vacuums plus and so glad I did. I bought this product from Comet for 89.99 in a sale. I was looking only for a vacuum but this came recommended by the in-store scoring and also came with a good after care package in which you could sort out problems on line rather than having the chore of taking the item back to store Good Points; Fantastic cleaner, heavy duty, durable Bad Points; A bit bulky, a bit of a chore to change the pipes etc from vacuum to washer and then to wash ...
