Advantages Powerful, small, light and versatile.
Disadvantages Minor point but caddy.

I have previously a VAX compact and I needed to replace it. I got the VAX Power 7 and expected to see no difference to my old one which was a similar model. How wrong I was! This little fella is so so powerful. Coupled with lots of attachments it is a very versatile vacuum. Attachments include the usual crevice tool, upholstery tool, and dusting brush but also small turbo tool and a large turbo brush. The first three sit on a caddy on the tube so are always accessible. I usually vacuum using the hard floor setting, as it roughs up the carpets a little, but you can’t do this using this model ... more

Advantages Powerful, compact, lightweight, and picks up all hairs, human and pet
Disadvantages None to speak of apart from being slightly noisy on full power, unnecessary 99% of the time

First of all, the Vax Power Pet 7 cleaner was extremely easy to assemble. In fact when it arrived, I called my husband down from upstairs to help me to do it, as I usually cannot cope with technical instruction manuals. However, by the time he had come downstairs I had done it myself in only a couple of minutes, as all you had to do was to take it out of the box, connect/slot the extension hose to the front of the unit, and either the combination floor head or one of the tool accessories to the hose. The new Vax Power7 for pets is really powerful and efficient. Its suction power on full turbo, is second to none – in fact I have a job to get the turbo brush off the carpet! It really does a good job with pet hair, sucking up dirt and dust that my 2 dogs and a cat leave behind. It isn’t at all clumsy to lift or heavy to pull around and sits safely on the stairs when you’re cleaning them. With a young child and a very hairy dog! this hoover was just what we were looking for, the only other hoover that came close to our needs was a dyson, we decided on the cheaper Vax Power 7 Pet and we defiantly made the right choice, Not only was is so much cheaper it is the best vacuum i have ever used, We used our old hoover all over the house just before we used the Vax for the first time and i could not believe the amount of dirt it collected, The power of this hoover is fantastic, it has an adjustable power setting which we have never needed on more that 50%, The large turbo brush is ... more

Advantages Quiet,multi use,cheaper to run.

This machine is a joy to use. It was easy to put together straight from the box instructions were clear and well diagrammed. But O joy , a super long lead reached downstairs and up-stairs from One socket. But wait why is it so quiet? Why are my three dogs not barking.... because the pitch of this new high powered motor is so quiet it does not effect their hearing...Thank You Vax my husband can keep working without disturbance. Advantages lightweight, good size bagless container, excellent reach of power cable and hose.
Disadvantages Haven't found one yet!

My old vacuum was still working but clearly struggling so I got the new VAX Power 7 Pet. I can sum up in one word how well it cleaned the carpets & floors... WOW! I have three dogs who have very different coat types, retrievers who have softer hair which clings to everything and an African street dog whose hair is very capable of embedding itself into anything it touches, (rather like Christmas tree needles do and you are forever finding them long after Christmas has past). Disadvantages Slightly more expensive than other machines, but well worth it!

After just a week of using this new Vax cleaner, I am very impressed, the suction on this machine is excellent, 2000w of power and the machine is still lightweight and easy to carry around the house. In the box there are many different tools, including a large and small turbo tool, ideal for cleaning upholstery and stairs. The machine is bagless which makes emptying it very easy, and no expensive bags to buy! Inside the dirt collector is a HEPA filter which is ideal for anyone who suffers from allergies as it prevents the dust and allergens from coming out of the machine, this is also washable ... more

Having a large family, 2 dogs and 3 people, we needed a heavy duty vaccum cleaner. This one is fantastic. The engine, which you can rev up at your leisure, provides sufficiently strong suction to get the most stubborn dirt. It is just incredibly lightweight and easily steered around the corners of our house. Because it has a large dust collector (4 litre), you don’t have to empty it all the time. I found the vax very easy to put together and the instructions were easy to follow. It came with a good range of attachments including the TurboTool+, TurboBrush, upholstry and crevice tool. It also has a HEPA filter which is washable. The vax comes with a 2.5m hose and a good length of cable which means I can do the whole house without having to unplug it for every room. The first time I used this I was shocked at the amount of fluff and dog hair came out of the carpet, and how it reduced the doggie smell in the house. I have had this cylinder cleaner for a few weeks now and absolutely love it. It is compact, easy to use and very lightweight. the on board tools are very handy as is the long telescopic tubes but the the best of all is the turbo head specially designed to give a good enough suction to remove all your pet hairs and any other difficult to mud etc. It does not loose suction like a lot of cleaners and is easy to empty and you can wash the removable filter.
