Disadvantages: Total waste of money

...difficult. I bought one of these Vax carpet washers as they looked as if they would do a good job. I followed all the directions and put it to the test. I found that it didn't do the job that was expected of it. It was meant to work deep down into the carpet but it only seemed to skim the top. My carpets looked the same as before I had started.
