...I noticed that the name Vax Turboforce Pet kept cropping up as an alternative. The few reviews I found delivered mixed opinions but all recommended its pet hair raising abilities! When I eventually arrived in Amazon land and found a new machine available for next day delivery for just £97.99 (including post and packing with Amazon Prime), it was an offer I couldn't refuse and a few clicks sealed the deal.
Vax was not a name which would have sprung ... ...for domestic use. The first Vax was launched in 1979 and sold door to door but from 1982 they were made available in retail units. The company, now based in Droitwich, Cheshire now manufactures a range of upright, cylinder, steam and hard floor cleaners. I was a little confused, when I checked on their website, www.vax.co.uk , that the 060, which is their Turboforce range, offers several different models (which only seem to vary in minor details ...

Durability
Quick review of VAX V-060P Turboforce PET
I was previously the owner of a £300 piece of junk from Dyson, which claimed all and delivered little. The Vax Turboforce Pet was a fraction of the cost of the Dyson, and delivers the most outstanding cleaning results I've ever had from a vacuum cleaner! Leaves my carpets and rugs looking like new again, lifting every speck of dust and cat hair with it's powerful 2000w suction, cleaning them to within an inch of their life, and fluffing them back up. We have 3 cats, and I can safely say that on close inspection even my rugs were left with not a single hair on them, outstanding results! Do not delay, don't waste your time with a Dyson, go get one of these today!!! ...

Advantages: Very powerful Disadvantages: Noisy, Heavy and Blew up twice!
After about a months use my first one gave a flash and a bang and died on me. I brought this back to the shop where i had bought it and eventually they were able to replace it. About a month after that it happened again!! The manufacturer repaired it this time. This is a very noisy and heavy cleaner, but it is a mighty powerful cleaner, which is why it was given a third chance!! The Gizmo on the front for the stairs is good, but it does clog up. ...
