5 Stars Taking Our First Steps with V-Tech Review with images 21/01/2010

Advantages Advantages Helps promote a large number of different learning skills for your toddler.

Disadvantages Disadvantages The walker unit may only get limited usage from it.

I am always on the lookout for good deals on toys for my son, as toys are so expensive nowadays. I frequent Amazon far too much and I am forever ordering goods from there. The prices on a lot of products on Amazon seem to fluctuate quite a lot so I always wait for the prices to drop on items before I purchase them. Whilst browsing through the toys I happened to notice the VTech First Steps Baby Walker was reduced down to £14.26, I also had a £10 voucher to spend so I couldn't resist a bargain and I paid the meagre sum of just £4.26 which I was most pleased with. The retail price of this is £24 ... more

Advantages Advantages Durable, fun, grows with baby, educational, fantastic

Disadvantages Disadvantages None, well it's a little loud

Having much older brothers and sisters, year old Freddy really does reap the benefit of my experience of which toys really are must haves and which are duds. The Vtech First Steps Baby Walker definitely falls into the must have category, so how could we help but buy it for his first Christmas. Puppy Says Clap Your Hands - A Parent’s View Although it has been slightly modernised, the design of the Baby Walker really hasn’t changed that much in the almost twenty years since I first bought one for my eldest child, which goes to show what a classic toy this is. First things first, and maybe I ... more

VTech is a popular, Hong Kong based brand which offers educational toys and computers for young children. First Steps With VTech Babies and toddlers develop at different levels and some may need a little more encouragement to take the step from crawling to walking. It takes time but there are products available which claim to help your child gain a bit of confidence whilst on their feet. The First Steps Baby Walker from VTech is suitable from 6months old. It weighs in at 3.8kg when boxed and measures 46 x 36 x 42cm. This electronic walker requires 3 x AA batteries which are not included. The ... more

4 Stars Puppy Says Walk! Review with images 09/02/2011
    User recommends the product

Advantages Advantages Supports physical development, many educational features

Disadvantages Disadvantages Walker moves very fast on laminate or tiled floors

My boys seemed to go from little tiny newborns, to crawling, mobile little people that could pull themselves up in a blink of an eye. To support their new found skills and based upon recommendations from other parents, Mr Lools and I decided to treat them with the VTech First Steps Walker. ***What Is It*** The VTech First Steps walker is a baby walker with a detachable activity centre, fitted on the front of it. The detachable activity centre is a white plastic board that has a number of activities for a baby to play with. There is a green phone which detaches from the toy. A key board with ... more

    Disadvantages Disadvantages annoying sounds!

“Hello Baby! Hello Puppy calling do you want to play with me, let’s have fun together while we learn our ABC ... Puppy Says “Clap your hands!” Now this is a song we have heard constantly since Christmas, and we now find ourselves singing it in our sleep! At first it was great but now it is annoying! Our little boy was starting to try and walk around Christmas time, and my partner’s parents kept asking what we wanted them to get their first grandchild for Christmas, so we decided that the Vtech First Steps Walker would be the perfect present for him! To be fair he absolute loves the thing ... more

Advantages Advantages lovely toy, educational, well made, bright

    Disadvantages Disadvantages none

I was actually given this walker by a relative, whose little boy had outgrown it, when my baby was born. I was very grateful but it seemed such a long way off that my little baby would need this that I just put it to one side and more or less forgot about it. My son is nearly 9 months now, so we have recently got this out for him. Whilst he is not quite ready to use it for the full walking function, he is definitely enjoying exploring it. This particular walker seems to retail at various prices, after a quick bit of research online, I have seen it prices from £20 - £30. It is suitable for use ... more

Advantages Advantages Sturdy interactive toy that will give months of fun

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Few

Since the birth of my son in 2006 V-Tech have become one of my preferred manufacturer of toys. I started the path to motherhood firmly of the opinion that toys should be traditional, require and encourage creative play and should certainly not "play with themselves". A few gifts and conversations with other mothers and much of that was to change. V-Tech proved to me that electronic toys are not all bad and that creative play is still possible with toys that have batteries. The V-Tech walker is a take on the traditional brick trolley designed to help and encourage young babies to find their ... more

Vtech Baby first steps baby walker. Our Grand daughter has had this baby walker for approximately one year now although she does not use it to walk with now as she is more than competent of walking forwards, sideways and backwards however it is a very good piece of equipment to aid mobilisation and offering support and building confidence. What does it look like? It is a very colourful, has four wheels two of which are on extended legs at the back which gives the walker added stability. There is a purple handle bar which gives adequate support which is easy to grip onto. The main frame is a ... more

Disadvantages Disadvantages Some people may prefer a wooden block walker

My little boy loves the VTech First Steps Baby Walker. However, he tends to prefer pressing the buttons on it rather than walking. Saying that he has ventured across the living room using the walker. I would definitely recommend this toy because it has a lot of benefits. It has a sturdy design that helps your baby with their first steps. There is also a detachable learning centre that has lot's of activities. The musical keys light up and introduce your baby to letters, numbers, animals, colours and songs. There is a moving butterfly, discs and rollers that help your baby develop manipulative ... more

Vtech First Steps Baby Walker Jack is going to be a genius and I think it's all thanks to me buying up toys that are too advanced for him from an early stage. He is now three months old but I bought this vetch baby walker when he was only a matter of weeks. I am a big kid at heart and I couldn't wait to get most of theses toys for myself never mind jack! I bought this baby walker from Amazon with the use of some more vouchers I had accumulated and it only cost £19.95 pence and that price included post and packaging. It arrived in just over a week and I couldn't wait to start playing and see ... more
