Advantages: 4WD / 6 Speed / V6 and some nice grunt Disadvantages: Reality is its a Golf with an extended boot
At the time of purchasing my Boxster in 2002 I also needed a four door car as well so rather than go down the path I had before (2 WRX Sti's) I chose the VW Bora 4Motion.
Several reason for my choice.
1. Insurance is a heap cheaper than a WRX
2. There is so much car for such a great price.
Firstly the choice of colour was Silver with a complete black leather interior. I ideally was after black on black but for some obscure reason the australian ... ...would go for either of these 2 however VW seems to have a decent range of colours.
Drive train is well put together with a 2.8 litre V6 mated to a 6 Speed Manual only (No Auto Option) gear box. Power is rated at a decent 150 Kw with options for aftermarket ECU chips which boost power to around 170Kw.
My only complaint with the car was the water pump bearing dying after 8000K/m's however the guys at the local VW dealership here in Australia were ...
