    The way of life for the population in the Dark Ages is completely different to Modern Nights. There was very little movement in social standing. If you were a peasant, then that’s what you were, nothing more. This book explains what it was like to be one of these classes, and what they could and could not do. It also describes what the other classes thought of you, and your view of them. If you want to create the correct setting for a Dark Ages campaign, then this book provides valuable information on how to create the feel.     Advantages Advantages Wealth of plot ideas for mortal characters

    Initially after buying this book I was unsure about how useful it would actually be, there was certainly a lot of detail about how to work mortal characters and NPC's into the game, but would my players ever want to play puny mortals in the dangerous dark medieval world. Then they read the book and the response to it was amazing, one of them wouldnt put it down and it had to be forcibly removed from his hands so that we could start playing.The amount of ideas that it produced was certainly impressive.
