Vanilla Coke. It didn’t appeal. It was my opinion that Coke should just stick to being Coke. They’ve got a successful formula so they should stop changing things around just to be gimmicky. ...one this review is about, Vanilla Diet Coke. I had a bottle of this the other day. Not because I really wanted it, but because the shop I bought it from had nothing else I wanted...not even 'ordinary' coke. Still, I like the flavour of vanilla, so I wasn't too worried. My boyfriend introduced me to Vanilla Coke a few weeks ago, I only had a little sip but I liked it and decided to try the diet version as I don’t tend to drink “fat” soft drinks. ...Diet coke with vanilla – kind of tastes like a mix of diet coke and cream soda and was really quite nice (although I suppose it could start to get a bit sickly after a while). It was refreshing, like a normal diet coke but had a creamy taste/after taste which I found quite pleasant. ...came across a bottle of Vanilla Coke for 59p, he bought it! The Best Before date was okay so why it was reduced I dont know! The usual price on the label was £1.59 but in Asda they sell it for £1.27 or when it is on offer 3 bottles for £3! It is a 2 litre bottle, Diet Coke, Vanilla, to be exact and proper! Advantages: WIthout the vanilla it would be nice?
Disadvantages: Sickly sweet and disgusting

...bottles are around 80-90p. The vanilla makes the drink thicker and creamier. I also think the fizz was significantly decreased by the vanilla. So what are you left with? What was a cool refreshing fizzy drink is now thick and flat with a disgusting after-taste. I just don't see the appeal... sorry if I am offending someone's favourite drink. ...accident), I accidentally drank some Vanilla Coke (erm... one may ask, is she prone to accidental drinks? Not usually, no!) Advantages: Tastes Gorgeous , A Float in a Bottle
Disadvantages: May be a little sickly for some

...I could never stand, however… ..the Vanilla flavoured Coke is definitely a pleasant overall taste, especially if you’re into to Coke and like vanilla (obvious I suppose) although, it may be just a bit too sickly sweet for some folks, even in the diet variety. Advantages: Refreshing, doesn't taste like a diet drink
Disadvantages: Like all fizzy drinks it can be expensive

...underneath stating that it is vanilla flavour and the top is a different colour. I wouldn't be surprised if some people end up trying this drink when they thought they were buying normal diet coke! So, watch out, those of you who don't like vanilla! ...with a huge dollop of vanilla ice cream dropped in!)as a special treat. The vanilla taste is quite strong and I guess some people may find this a bit overpowering but as I'm a big vanilla fan it was perfect for me. For anyone who may have tried the lemon coke and have been put off trying this one because of it (lemon coke tastes very artificial and leaves a strange after taste)don't be. ...skeptical and hesitant to buy vanilla coke when it first came out. However, I gave into curiousity and was pleasantly surprised. The packaging is familiar but the difference isn't that eye-catching, particularly for the bottled variety, which aside from the word "vanilla" written in cream on the label and lid is near identical to the normal diet coke bottle.
