***** Vanish Carpet & Upholstery Mousse ***** I was sucked in to buy this product because of the claim it makes on the can 'Vanish the Ultimate Stain Remover' Huh! Any one knows that if you are accident prone, have children or pets that you should have a supply of some sort of carpet stain remover. I usually stick with good old fashioned 1001 trigger bottle and really wish I did. I thought I would write an opinion on VANISH CARPET AND UPHOSTERY STAIN REMOVER MOUSSE. as I couldn't believe how disapointed I was with it. I paid £2.79 for a 400ml can, which is slightly more expensive that the VANISH SPRAY BOTTLE at £1.99. (I have found prices vary from Supermarket to Supermarket). It claims to make stains vanish without soaking your carpet as it contains less water than conventional carpet cleaners. We've got laminate flooring nearly all the way through the house but have got rugs in nearly all the rooms to take the chill off the floor. We first found Vanish Mousse ages ago when we had a Chinese and like a prat my dad gave my 2 year old sister a spare rib to hold..... of course in a minute she'd got bored of it and put it down in the closest place which was the brown and beige rug in the living room. Everyone in the whole wode world has managed to spill something on the floor, and some people are lucky when it's just a glass of water. However, since being in this house, almost a year, I have managed not to spill a drop on the floor, which actually makes a change for accident prone me. So the story begins... When i decided to dye my hair myself i covered up everything that i thought would get splattered. A couple of days after wards though i found a big red blob on my carpet. I had already got the red bits off my mums sofa with the vanish powder so i thought using the mousse would have the same effects. I was wrong. The can says to hold it about 15 centimetres above the stain and briefly press down on the finger pad. Then it says to rub the mousse into the stain using circular motion.
