Advantages Advantages Works a treat on stubborn stains...

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Strong chemical formula...

You know how you have regular couldn't-do-without-it domestics products stashed under the sink, in case of emergencies? Well this trigger sprayed, action packed, enzyme-busting solution is 'a must have' in my household's cleaning products, as it really is super stuff. It has to be said I am a huge fan of all things 'Vanish', as I think it's an all-round great cleaning product that actually delivers what it professes on all its packaging. Whether it be the 500ml 'Stain Remover Pre-Wash' spray I am reviewing today, the concentrated power foam moose for use on carpet stains - or even the newer ... more

Advantages Advantages Does work on stains

Disadvantages Disadvantages Didn't get rid of hard stains first time

I am a big fan of the Vanish stick stain remover. It is one of the products in the "Vanish, trust pink, forget stains," range of cleaning products. For me this product works every time at pre treating stains and then once you have put the clothes in the wash the stain has disappeared. Probably the only thing I don't like about the stick is that you have to do a bit of work to remove the stain, ie you have to firstly rub the stick on the clothes, then rub the clothes together. This is ok for one item but recently I ahve had a lot of clothes to get stains out of. With a 1 year old I am forever ... more

Advantages Advantages Removes stains with little effort.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None

I have used Vanish products for a lot of years, the powder form and a trigger spray and also the bar, which I find them all of them very useful for stubborn stains that sometimes a washing detergent will not remove and I think that sometimes a few fabrics need a little extra help to remove stains because sometimes a washing detergent is just not powerful enough to remove them completely. I bought this one at the time of purchase for around only £2 for 500ml and I bought it when it was on special offer from Sainsbury's and it comes in a pink plastic slim bottle with a trigger spray and it is ... more

Advantages Advantages Cheap, effective and pink.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Could be pricey when not on offer.

My washing machine is usually on the go twice a day, chugging its way through loads of towels and mixed clothes and if you have read any of my previous reviews you will know that I am not brand loyal and will usually gravitate to whatever is currently on offer in the supermarket or local shop, but one of the items I always have in my cleaning cupboard is a big bottle of Vanish stain remover, I need this as I am a bugger for switching brands on wash products and I like to know that I have something reliable to fall back on if the new "bargain" is just not cutting the mustard. My bottle of ... more

Advantages Advantages Doe the job it s meant to do.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None so far.

Normally I would just put a scoop of Vanish powder into the machine when doing the washing, but it seemed to be a bit hit and miss when it came to getting rid of stains. Some things would benefit from a bit of pre treatment and then I heard about and thought that it would be worth a try. I paid £4.09 for a 500ml canister and so far this is proving to be a long lasting item. I was not sure how often I would use it or how often it would last but with 20 or more sprays there still seems to be ¾ of the spray left. The trigger spray makes it easy to direct the liquid to the stain rather than waste ... more

Advantages Advantages Removes most stains and marks thrown at it, very easy to use

Disadvantages Disadvantages None really - it doesn't remove all stains, but then again I wouldn't expect it to

As someone with four children, and a fella who has never realised that when you're an adult it's just not appropriate to come home filthy, I do a lot of wasing. Of the six people in our house it's four year old Hollie, six month old David and (ahem) forty-one year old Mark who generate the most washing - with their stuff generally having actual stains developing by the time it gets into the machine. The spray is very easy to use, the trigger is sensitive enough that you can direct the spray accurately to the spot where it's needed and you can also control the amount of product that is sprayed ... more

Disadvantages Disadvantages Doesn't remove any stains I have tried it on

I never seem to have much of an issue getting stains out of things until it comes to baby food, why is it that all baby food needs to be bright orange it certainly isn’t that colour when I make my own. Add to the baby food a Grandfather that isn’t the most careful when feeding my baby girl and of course the fact that she already at 10 months likes to wipe her face on her sleeve and I get some very stained clothing. I have tried just about every stain remover on the market and not one of them can fully bring out those horrid orange stains and even though I have tried other Vanish products for ... more

Advantages Advantages It works very well and not dear

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Nothing

I like to use my lovely pink bottle of Vanish Pre wash stain remover. If I have the odd little food or animal stain on my clothes I tend to use this before I wash my clothes in a normal cycle and this brings the stain out and the clothes come out of the machine looking lovely. I pay only £1 for my bottle which has got a little trigger spray on the top. I like the trigger spray because it is much easier for me to direct the spray to exactly where I want it to go on the stain on the clothing, and that way I never waste any of it. I have tried the Vanish stain stick but I don’t care for that as ... more
