Advantages Advantages Moisturizes, softens, and soothes itching

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None

For the first time in my life I've encountered 'dry' skin. My dry skin is not in anyway paralelled to that of somebody suffering the torture of eczema, or worse. To these people I bear a monumental conscience for whining atall. Generally, my 'dry' skin erupts after a bath, and left unattended, it has interferred with sleep, and drives me mad! The incessant itching and scratching, slowly graduating to soreness.....I count my blessings even so. My 'dry' zones are my hands, in between the fingers especially. The outer boundaries of the base of my feet, and worst of all, down the curvature of my ... more

Advantages Advantages Effective, cheap, smells nice, makes your skin soft

Disadvantages Disadvantages Quite runny, comes out of the bottle fast, leaks out of lid

I get dry skin especially in winter time so I thought I would try Vaseline Intensive Care Lotion for dry skin. I have used others but I wanted to try a different one for a change. It comes in a 75ml tube with a flip lid. The tube is light yellow in colour with the name of the product in a blue box. It is not an eye catching tube to look at as it's just plain and simple really to look at. The flip lid is really easy to open so you don't hurt your fingers trying to open it. The lotion is yellow in colour, so it matches the tube. I find it quite runny though compared to other one's that I have ... more

    Advantages Advantages I feel wonderful

Disadvantages Disadvantages It doesn't do the washing up

literally, doing an opinion on hand and body lotion wouldn't work otherwise would it, the gloves would get all sticky. I am a man taking up the Trampus challenge to write on Vaseline intensive care hand and body lotion, the tale even has a multi-vitamin complex to spice things up. I used to use Boots intensive lotion for skin as I do suffer from dry skin (I probably don't drink enough - may be an easy solution for you dry skinned people out there - drink more) anyway I had to do something about it as it could pose as embarassing a problem as having dandruff (no I don't use head and shoulders ... more

Disadvantages Disadvantages Can go icky if left exposed to the air

VASELINE INTENSIVE CARE DRY SKIN LOTION - Firstly I would like to say please ignore the photo of the product above as it seems to be out of date as the products bottle is a different shape and design now. YOUR SKIN When reading beauty magazines, you will always find that the best skin tip is to moisturise it so that it looks its best. This is not just to apply some lotion on it; it also means to drink plenty of water every day so that your skin looks nice and healthy because it is hydrated. With the summer coming up, most of us don’t want to hit the beach with dried up skin (especially as I ... more

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Smell ish?

We can all remember the flaky kid at school cant we? He was the one who was victimised by hordes of nasty spotty faced kids shouting cornflake at the top of their squeaky voices as the bedraggled soul as he crossed the schoolyard. We also know that from time to time you wake up in a cold sweat in the middle of the night, after a nightmare that you were the flaky kid! Fear not and sleep soundly in your land of slumber because there is hope for us all, and it wont cost an arm and a leg either. The wonderful chemist types at Elida Faberge, after they have created loads of different shades of red ... more

Advantages Advantages Clears Dry Skin In A Matter Of Seconds.

Disadvantages Disadvantages The Gunk That Builds Around The Nozzle Over Time.

Ever since I started shaving I have battled to overcome facial dry skin. In order to avoid being labelled a leper and closely resembling a flaking ghostly apparition I tried a plethora of dry skin products with little or no success. Some products even exacerbated the problem and the daily shave often left me feeling like an ageing Hollywood actress after her 12th cosmetic nip and tuck. As skin complaints go it may not be the most worrying but facial dry skin sure does feel uncomfortable and looks unsightly. Try dancing under a neon light at a night-club with a dry face and you'll see what I ... more

Time to bear my legs to the sun again. My white legs needed a major overhaul from the long winter months covered in jeans and decorating and flakey dry skin coming off them,,,yukkkk...out comes the buckets of lotions. Vaseline Intensive Care Dry Skin hand and body lotion that i use comes in a choice of two size bottles.I always buy the bigger of the two as the smaller one seems to run out too fast.I buy the 400ml bottle.I normally pay about £3.59 from Tescos. The bottle i have at the moment is all yellow and no blue lid like in picture above.I find the bottle abit of a pain to open when its ... more

Advantages Advantages Easily absorbed, not greasy at all, pleasant smell

Disadvantages Disadvantages It's cold when it's just out of the bottle!

Having a wee spot of dry skin due to eczema and having had skin that's sensitive to just about everything since birth, I've always needed to use some kind of moisturiser or lotion to stop my skin drying out. Throughout the course of my 20 years on this planet I've tried just about every available remedy, prescription and non-prescription, so I consider myself a bit of a non-qualified authority on this subject. For someone in my shoes, or more appropriately, in my skin, the criteria for a good moisturiser are as follows. It must have sufficient moisturising properties to replenish the skin's ... more

Advantages Advantages Soft skin all over

Disadvantages Disadvantages None I am happy

I have noticed lately, that I have dry skin patches on my hands, and my fingers. Whilst I was in town the other day, I decided to invest in some cream. I didn't want just a hand cream though. I wanted something that could be used all over. This is why I chose Vaseline Intensive Care lotion, for dry skin. **********************PACKAGING********** ************ This lotion comes in a huge bottle. The bottle stands about 8 inches high and it is quite broad. It is not a round bottle, more oval in shape. The bottle is infact clear plastic, but because of the colour of the lotion, it actually looks ... more

Advantages Advantages Good value, only need a small amount so lasts for ages, absorbs easily, really sorted out my dry skin.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None!!!

I needed a new body moisturiser and I bought this product purely and simply because it was the most recommended body lotion here on Ciao. I want to say thank you to all those who recommended it, because they were not wrong! I suffer from very dry skin on my legs: the skin is often flaky and itchy, and I haven't found many moisturisers which help with this, other than really thick, creamy lotions which take ages to apply and forever to absorb. The product comes in a large bottle (400ml) and is cheaper than most of the other big name products (Nivea, Neutrogena, Dove etc.) for the same quantity ... more
