An Oasis for Dry skin.

Advantages: Moisturizes,softens, and soothes itching
Disadvantages: None

For the first time in my life I've encountered 'dry' skin. My dry skin is not in anyway paralelled to that of somebody suffering the torture of eczema, or worse. To these people I bear a monumental conscience for whining atall. Generally, my 'dry' skin erupts after a bath, and left unattended, it has interferred with sleep, and drives me mad! The incessant itching and scratching, slowly graduating to soreness.....I count my blessings even so. My ...
...The outer boundaries of the base of my feet, and worst of all, down the curvature of my spine. Worst because, I can barely reach it! Why weren't we fitted with double-joints all round?? Not being accustomed to this condition, I was at a loss as to know the best thing to use (or NOT use, for that matter), in order to rectify this. The cause is one bemusement, to find a panacea, another. Like with all un-expected, medical complaints; whether my own, ...

Get rid of dry skin

Advantages: Effective, cheap, smells nice, makes your skin soft
Disadvantages: Quite runny, comes out of the bottle fast, leaks out of lid

...I thought I would try Vaseline Intensive Care Lotion for dry skin. I have used others but I wanted to try a different one for a change. It comes in a 75ml tube with a flip lid. The tube is light yellow in colour with the name of the product in a blue box. It is not an eye catching tube to look at as it's just plain and simple really to look at. The flip lid is really easy to open so you don't hurt your fingers trying to open it. The lotion is yellow ...
...quite runny though compared to other one's that I have used like Nivea. Also when you squeeze the lotion out of the tube, it comes out really fast, so you don't need to squueze it hard or too much comes out. You can use it all over your body as a moisturiser for dry skin. I use it on my hands and face. You don't need to use loads in one go either as it is effective and a bit goes a long way. I only use it once a day as that is all that is needed. ...

OK TRAMPUS, THE GLOVES ARE OFF.

Advantages: I feel wonderful
Disadvantages: It doesn't do the washing up

...Trampus challenge to write on Vaseline intensive care hand and body lotion, the tale even has a multi-vitamin complex to spice things up. I used to use Boots intensive lotion for skin as I do suffer from dry skin (I probably don't drink enough - may be an easy solution for you dry skinned people out there - drink more) anyway I had to do something about it as it could pose as embarassing a problem as having dandruff (no I don't use head and shoulders ...
...homebrand so I plumped for vaseline intensive care instead, and ever since my life has been happy and full of sunshine (well not quite but here's what happened). I noticed sometimes when using the Boots own brand that my skin would be a little clammy after using it (I used to use it on my face too, maybe that's why) and I also swapped between the dry and extra dry version as I was somewhere inbetween (probably moderately dry would have worked okay). ...

Lush Legs for me

Advantages: It smells good, it leaves your skin looking great
Disadvantages: Can go icky if left exposed to the air

VASELINE INTENSIVE CARE DRY SKIN LOTION - Firstly I would like to say please ignore the photo of the product above as it seems to be out of date as the products bottle is a different shape and design now. YOUR SKIN When reading beauty magazines, you will always find that the best skin tip is to moisturise it so that it looks its best. This is not just to apply some lotion on it; it also means to drink plenty of water every day so that your skin ...
...My favourite body lotion is Vaseline intensive care dry skin lotion. It is packaged in a yellow bottle (very summery) with a blue and green label. On the back is displayed a clear sticker with blue writing that has directions for use on it. The directions are very informative and have four diagrams with the different ways to use it, which are all over body, all family skincare, after shower moisturisation and after-shave moisturisation, which makes ...

The Flaky Kid

Advantages: Clears up dry skin
Disadvantages: Smell ish?

...bank either. The special Vaseline formula was developed by a crack group of Shetland Pony, scientists, who also cleverly added a multi-vitamin complex to help care for everyday dry skin. Vaseline say that it is to produce fast and long lasting relief, leaving the skin feel soft and smooth and looking healthy. All of which I cannot argue with, in fact it does exactly what it says on the bottle. The lotion is easily absorbed and doesn’t leave ...
...head. Nether the less Vaseline intensive care, Dry skin and body lotion, with multi-vitamin complex, does the job very well, and has left my skin feeling very soft indeed. Perhaps a bit to soft, but hey who cares? It also has quite a pleasant aroma after application, but for the more conscious of you, it is obvious that you are using it because of the smell. Any complaints, questions or comments (about the animal thing, or anything at all) can ...

Shaved By The Gel

Advantages: Clears Dry Skin In A Matter Of Seconds.
Disadvantages: The Gunk That Builds Around The Nozzle Over Time.

...sounded good. It was called Vaseline Intensive Care 'Dry Skin'. Funny name really, 'Dry Skin Remover' might have been more apt. So in a flash I neatly removed the bottle and placed it in my weekend bag (under the cover of a T-shirt). This might sound a little cruel and unfair to the rest of the household but when you're a struggling student with a face that was crumbling at a faster rate than the great wall of china, swift action needed to be taken. ...
...haggard old boot. Vaseline Intensive Care 'Dry Skin' lotion is meant to be a hand and all over body lotion but by adapting it as an after shave balm I have one less thing to worry about. 'Dry Skin' now comes in a squeezable 75ml bottle that retails for about £1.95 but it will be the 200ml bottle that will always hold pride of place on my untidy beside table. For someone who has a healthy disregard for most cosmetics I have been completely sold on ...

Soft As A Babies Bum All Over

Advantages: Soft skin all over
Disadvantages: None I am happy

...This is why I chose Vaseline Intensive Care lotion, for dry skin. **********************PACKAGING********************** This lotion comes in a huge bottle. The bottle stands about 8 inches high and it is quite broad. It is not a round bottle, more oval in shape. The bottle is infact clear plastic, but because of the colour of the lotion, it actually looks like yellow plastic. On the front of the bottle, there is a big clear label, with the name ...
...noticeable label which really stood out from the rest. On the back of the bottle, there is another label. This offers information about the lotion, including ingredients and contact details of the manufacturers. The lid, is navy blue in colour, and quite chunky in size. It is of flip top action, and very simple to use. ************************PRICE************************ This cream cost me £1.99. This is excellent value, for 400ml of lotion. ...

Take intensive care of yourself...

Advantages: Easily absorbed, not greasy at all, pleasant smell
Disadvantages: It's cold when it's just out of the bottle!

...perfumed too strongly. Vaseline Intensive Care fulfills all these criteria brilliantly. On application, it not only feels like it's moisturising your skin but it has a definite soothing effect, unlike some alcohol-based lotions which give a burning sensation on contact. It is great to use just after a bath or shower when your skin feels a little dry and tight, as it really does make a difference. This may be due to the way it is absorbed into the ...
...and this can cause itching. Vaseline Intensive Care, however, just seems to disappear into the skin with the tiniest bit of rubbing with leaving no residue behind. Sometimes after the first application my skin is a little dry, but putting it on again after a couple of minutes sorts the problem. Another advantage this has over other creams is that it's difficult to put too much on. Ointments in particular tend to saturate the skin to the point where ...

All those Ciao ops can't be wrong

Advantages: Good value, only need a small amount so lasts for ages, absorbs easily, really sorted out my dry skin.
Disadvantages: None!!!

I needed a new body moisturiser and I bought this product purely and simply because it was the most recommended body lotion here on Ciao. I want to say thank you to all those who recommended it, because they were not wrong! I suffer from very dry skin on my legs: the skin is often flaky and itchy, and I haven't found many moisturisers which help with this, other than really thick, creamy lotions which take ages to apply and forever to absorb. The ...
...than most of the other big name products (Nivea, Neutrogena, Dove etc.) for the same quantity - another big selling point for me. The packaging is simple but attractive, and unlike some dry skin remedies does not look like a horrible medicated remedy for nappy rash, or something like that! The bottle itself is exactly the same colour as the cream, which is a nice touch. The cream itself is light and not too rich or creamy - I dislike creams that ...

When massaged in to the skin, this lotion might seen a little greasy, but the feeling soon fades as it is absorbed by the skin. Answer to dry skin

Advantages: works well
Disadvantages: takes time

If like me you suffer from Dry skin, then this is a great product and it’s definitely worth purchasing, simply because it is very effective and works really well. I often get dry skin on my arms, and even though I have been using the E45 cream, my Mum bought this for me when my E45 cream ran out. The good thing is the bottle is very big so once you have invested in it will last you a long time. The price varies according to size, but you can ...
...excellent value. The cream is really good, and fast absorbing into your skin, just spread it evenly. It also contains a light moisturiser and works really well. The results were impressive, soft smooth skin, and dry free. But, it does take time for the product to work so don’t worry if it takes a week or so. Although, I am still undecided whether to buy this product or stick with the E45 product I use, I definitely recommend this is a perfect ...

MAGIC SKIN. JUST ADD LOTION

Advantages: See op
Disadvantages: See op

...come in the form of Vaseline Intensive Care Dry Skin and Body Lotion. Priced at £3.50, this huge bottle, coloured to reflect the colour of the product itself: a creamy pale yellow, will serve to treat every bit of skin you have the desire to moisturise after your bath or shave. Good for blokes and femmes, (the packaging doesn't discriminate) it can be used liberally on the legs and arms, on the oft-abandoned back, on the thirsty hands, and it can ...
...massaged into the whole face. Top notch! The good feeling of silkiness lasts for ages, and no grease is felt: no waiting around for ages for the stuff to dry. I saw it on tv, and thought it looked good: not promising to knock 15 years off, not too pricey, not boasting some 9/10 women survey result. So I tried it. Produced by Elida Faberge, this talc-smelling lotion which has the consistency of cream, contains.... *Aqua *Glycerin *Stearic Acid ...

A big hand for Vaseline!

Advantages: My hands feel lovely!
Disadvantages: None

...my computer I keep my Vaseline Intensive Care Dry Skin Hand & Body Lotion, which if used regularly keeps the skin on my hands lovely and soft, well moisturised and smelling sweet. The one I have is 400ml and currently costs £2.99 in Boots. Since I only need to use a bit at a time it lasts ages so it sounds like a bargain to me. ...the bottle tells me that Vaseline have ‘developed this formula with multi vitamin complex to help care for everyday dry skin’. Well, I don’t know about multi vitamins, but it certainly does the trick on my dry hands and I have no reason to think that it would not be just as effective on the rest of my body if I ever need it. Well, having re read this opinion it is one of my shorter offerings but when all the necessary information is there so why ...
