Advantages: EXCELLENT VALUE FOR MONEY CAR
Disadvantages: LACKS POWER BUT IS MODIFIABLE

...two problems, it took inchcape vauxhall about 7 visits of my car to find the problem with the fuel system which ended up being a total system replacement, they were a lot quicker with the central locking but that also was a complete replacement. The astra is a good and very reliable car other than that i have had no problems in the past 18 months and i have found it very good on feul costs. I have an N Reg Astra Convertible. It's a great looking car and the power hood is well cool. The main fault is the power is seriously lacking. It has a 1.6i engine (single injector) and 8 valves. The book quotes it as an un-awesome 56 brake horse power at around 3200rpm (if I remember correctly) This leads to a 'heavy' feeling when moving off or trying to overtake, in fact any time when it is necessary to gain speed. Advantages: it is a convertible, and looks good
Disadvantages: it loses its value quickly, high insurance

This is one of the cheapest convertibles, yet still looks good. It does not have a roll bar, which improves its looks, over the golf, yet it is still safe. It comes with many extras, including a nice clip-on roof cover. It has a large boot, and is comfortable for 2 in the back (although a third is a biot of a squash) The sporty seats in the front are nice. The interior is very impressive. i have had my convertible since march 03 from new and have never had so much as a flat tyre! i have owned a few escort cabriolets before this car and found this far more luxurious. i have a 10 year old and a 5 year old and have been able to use as a family car as many other convertibles are too small in the back to sit comfortably for very long and was still roomy enough even when my youngest was in a car seat and had to climb in to get him in his ...
