Advantages: cheap, lots of extras
Disadvantages: bit old now
I own a J reg Vauxhall Carlton Diplomat. This is the top of the Carlton Range and has a large number of extras as standard.
I paid £6000 3 years ago and believe you can pick one up now for far less.
It has been the most reliable car and has never let me down in the 60,000 miles I have done in it.

Advantages: Cheap
Disadvantages: Old, new cars are better
The Vauxhall carlton has now been replaced by the Omega, but in it's day it was one of the largest and more comfortable 'big cars'. I remember that the styling wasn't that great, but you could fall asleep in one so easily, as the seats were and probably are some of the most comfortable around.
At the time this wasn't the biggest Vauxhall, although it was big enough, there was the Vauxhall Senator which wasn't anywhere near as popular, but still ...
