4 Stars You Can In A Corsa (Can't You?) Review with images 27/03/2007

Advantages Advantages Excellent "supermini". Economical, low running costs, and fun to drive.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Not a lot!

~ ~ Why is it you NEVER get the car you're expecting from a car rental company? I can't remember even once in the last decade when I've got the car I was told when I made the initial booking! Thus it was I ended up with a Vauxhall/Opel Corsa for a week on our recent family break in Sicily, instead of the Ford Fiesta I had been expecting. I suppose in the greater scheme of things it doesn't really matter too much WHAT car you end up with for a week's holiday hire, providing that it can comfortably carry both you, your passengers, and their luggage. But the truth is that as a motoring buff, a ... more

Advantages Advantages Diesel engine so fuel economy is good. Much better styling inside and outside

Disadvantages Disadvantages It's still a Corsa from Vauxhall, which means it's still by General Motors.

I popped over to my mate’s the other day for some manly catching up when the subject of cars came into the conversation. He said to me, “Aye, I got myself one of them new Vauxhall Corsas I did. Very nimble little machine and I likes it” A Vauxhall Corsa – a car made by General Motors - which he likes? This is the man that I used to chat with and bet on who would be first to get the Honda Civic Type-R (a fantastic little car). That meant either his lady friend has warped his fragile little mind, or the Corsa really was a special little beast. I couldn’t help asking to have a look at it and take ... more

Advantages Advantages Excellent on fuel, Good handling, nice looking, Free insurance

Disadvantages Disadvantages Silly little faults popping up, vauxhall too keen to make the sale

I'd never bought a brand new car before. On driving past my local Vauxhall Dealership I couldn't help but notice the large advertisment in the window. They were offering 3 years 0% APR and a years free insurance. I'd been driving a 3 litre Omega for the last year, so was getting hit quite hard for fuel and was considering a vehicle change. When I got home I went onto the Vauxhall website to do some research. I found that the Corsa 1.3 CDTi offered 70mpg, and after I had added the neccesary extras (Sports pack, upgraded wheels, and tinted windows) the car came to approximately £12k. I worked ... more

Advantages Advantages Smooth ride, fuel economy.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Poor visibility from rear, slightly noisy engine.

On a recent trip to Spain I was happy to take delivery of the new Corsa 1.3 CDTi 90 for 3 days from the local car rental firm. First impressions were good, interior was quite spacious for a small car. Boot space is adequate for medium sized suitcases and shopping, but a bit small if you have luggage for 3 or 4 people to accommodate, but this is a Corsa after all. On starting the car you immediately know it is a diesel, as it's a little on the noisy side, but this is soon forgotten once you start to drive the car. Being on the short side, i had problems seeing past the bonnet so had to raise ... more

Advantages Advantages Economical, size, comfort, handling, consumption, room,

Disadvantages Disadvantages None at all in the 18 months of use.

Throughout my pregnancy my hubby kept telling me that I would need a new car, that my little Corsa would no longer have the room needed to accommodate my needs. You see we already have 2 teenage girls and with a baby on the way and a pram. I did not want a different car I was happy with my Corsa, (of which I haven't named yet so if you have any suggestions to offer please do I will let you know what I decide upon and why).Anyway this is why I love my Corsa. ~~~~~~The Corsa holds the road very and handles extremly well, the steering is very comfortable and sounds and feels very secure. My Corsa ... more

    Advantages Advantages Economical & Nippy

Disadvantages Disadvantages Pulling Power (not an issue for me tho!)

I made the big decision last year that I had to part with my much loved 1992 Ford Escort. It was when for the third morning in a row that the beloved escort had let me down and I was late meeting with new clients. I decided to buy new as I have never owned a new car and I also wanted to make the right impression when meeting with prospective clients. Based upon my priorities which were looks and fuel efficiency, the 1.3 CDTI SXI+ Corsa was the outstanding car and really made up my mind easilyr. My 55plate Corsa is in Jet Black and really does look the business! I have had the car for six ... more

Advantages Advantages Economy, Space, Comfort, 6 speed, good equipment levels, low costs to run, cheap

Disadvantages Disadvantages Turbo lag, a-pillar is limiting the view, Vauxhall badge

The Corsa 1.3 CDTi 90 PS 6 Speed Design 5DR, finished off in purple. I have been driving this car for two years and other than one engine management light appear and the car refusing to start first time it hasn't really let me down in these two years. The good bits include: The 1.3 CDTi engine is very economoical providing approx 450 miles on a full tank with mixed driving on all roads such as motorway/dual carriageway/town/country road driving. It is certainly quite quick, but sometimes I feel that the turbo lag can let it down in certain conditions. However when pushed it can get from 0-60 ... more

4 Stars Quick review of Vauxhall Corsa SXi 1.3CDTi 16v by KEITHYDEE1 28/10/2007
I bought a new 2007 Corsa CDTI SXI 90bhp 3DR for travel to and from work, mainly motorway miles. Vauxhall reckoned 70mpg, it turns out your lucky to get mid 50mpg and I dont hammer it either. That said, its a nice comfortable car with big front doors on the 3 door version, handles well too and a different car to the old Corsa which I wouldn't touch with a very long bargepole. The seats can be awkward for getting in and out of the back and the back is a bit dark too but as I'm the driver thats not ... more

Advantages Advantages cheap and afford able running costs. very flexible

Disadvantages Disadvantages Insurance can be pricy for some people

This particular Vauxhall Corsa comes in either 3 or 5 door. which make it a very flexible and comfortable car that will be able to suit you. the Corsa is unlike many others in it's class because the corsa isn't some car that is slow and is forgoing to the shops in it is a versatile car. Meaning that the corsa has a very efficient economic engine for city driving, is perfect for most driving in towns and motorways and it comes with a turbo diesel injection engine meaning you can have a bit of speed.# Due to the car having a turbo insurance for this corsa may be expensive for some people and ... more
