1.6 8v Design! This 1.4 has just replaced it Review with images

AdvantagesRoomy and flexible. Cheeky looks

DisadvantagesFuel consumption around town. Gearchange

"General: Good all rounder that the kids love Image: I am a car lover, so need to have something that makes me feel good as well as catering for the family. The Design has lots of BLING and a fair amount of toys (Air con,CD, Twin Audio, leather steering wheel, front fog lamps , electric windows and mirrors). I got the black one which looks quite "gangster rapper" with its big alloys and the blacked out rear passenger and rear windows. Driving: ..." Read review

Spacious, reliable and value for money

AdvantagesComfortable, spacious, reliable and economical

DisadvantagesCouldn't turn off front passenger airbag for use with rear-facing childseat

"With a baby on the way I was looking for a car that gave me plenty of room, was easy to drive but also value for money and economical. I don't think that any other car fitted my requirements as well as the Meriva. The Meriva drives like a small car but has loads of interior space and is very flexible. The splittable rear seats move on rails and can be made completely flat for transporting large items. The inside feels sturdy and having owned this ..." Read review

my meriva, a good drive

Advantageseconomical to drive

Disadvantagesa frame front side bar gives poor visibility at junctions

"the meriva is economical with a good average of 44 km per litre feels good to drive and is easy to park. it holds the road very well too. the seating is excellent especially for your passengers with loads of leg room in the back and the option of tilting the rear seats for comfort. the centre bar at the back of the rear seats can also be laid flat to enable you to create more room for your passengers, if you only have 2 people in the back ,by moving ..." Vauxhall Meriva

AdvantagesStyle, space and an overall good family car

DisadvantagesNone

"...That is exactly what the Vauxhall Meriva is. Cheap, cheerful and pratical. The space is very good for the size of car. The Meriva is not much larger than the Vauxhall Corsa, but the clever design allows for much more room. This is great news for anyone wishing to take materials to work, or just take the kids to school. The space is unmatched for the size of car, and you will rarely find that you need more room (unless of course you want to move ..." Read review

Great Car - benefits of a bigger MPV

AdvantagesComfy & looks good

DisadvantagesNo electric window in the back

"Firstly I am no car expert so I know very little about the technical stuff. What I do know is that this is a great car to drive and also be a passenger in. I love the flexible split seats which actualy drop down to the floor if needed. It has loads of space and compartments. The seats are higher up than most cars which makes getting in and out a bit easier. Our car is in black so it looks very smart and stylish. The great thing is it's only a 1.4 ..." Read review

Good, but some bad points

AdvantagesNice ride, and cheap to buy

DisadvantagesMPG, Blind spot, cam belt

"...BMW 330 sport is bettter!! 3. Vauxhall told us the we had to have a new cam belt on at 40,000 they have been having them snap on cars with that sort of millage. I have never know this!! If you can live with these, the car is great we take our little boy and big dog out in it with no problems, the ride is good even on long journeys, they are very slow but you are not going to buy this sort of car to go racing!! ..." Do not buy if you value your time/bank balance! Vauxhall Meriva

Advantageswill get rid of it one day

Disadvantagesstuck withit for the time being

"...that i had driven past vauxhall and gone to another manufacturer. At 11400 miles in 2006 my timing chain needed replacing which was ok as it was under warranty. Then there was the knocking in the engine when going at slow speeds, then there was the battery being drained by the radio switching itself on, then the radio display through a wobbler and was unreadable, there are noises from behind dash when driving and the whole interioir seems to creak ..."
