It's hard to critise a car where the ride and handling are smooth and suited to its size and image, where the fit and finish is near perfect and the equipment levels are high. In two litre form this is true of the Omega but it fails to impress.

Vauxhall have had a lot of stick for making dull cars, and they never do well in the JD Power Survey. However, I think some of this is unwarranted. The Omega 2.2 is a very nice car. A big luxury car for the business market. First off, it looks good. The new styling is growing on me, though I still prefer the old Omega's style. I recently bought an Omega as I have quite a large family and didnt want a people carrier. The omega wasnt my first choice and to be honest wasnt even short listed until I was persuaded to take a test drive by the sales woman. (Yes thats right) She also deserves recognition, she told me all I wanted to know and a little extra.
