Advantages Advantages Easy to park, nippy and looks fabulous

Disadvantages Disadvantages Difficult for non-agile people to get in the back

I bought my Tigra 3 years ago from the Vauxhall garage. I have never had any problems with it! It handles really well. It's only a 1.4 but I do have fun overtaking other cars with larger engines. Responds really well when you need the power. I have an automatic gearbox, so cannot comment on the manual one. It's only when you get in other people's cars that you realise quite how compact the car is. This is my first car! And three years' later I still smile when I walk up to my car, proud of the way it looks! I have been thinking recently that as I have had it three years maybe it's time to move ... more

    Advantages Advantages Looks good

Disadvantages Disadvantages Expensive, uncomfortable and not a great ride

The Vauxhall Tigra Exclusiv (this is the new shape convertible top specification). 18 months ago i was looking for a new car, as a young (mid twenties) woman with no children or prospects of having any in the near future i test drove the Vauxhall Tigra. To be honest i didn't need to test drive it, the minute i realised i could afford it i wanted it! However buying a car on a decision made by how great i'd look with a 2-seater convertible was not ideal and now 18 months later i am paying the price. The car itself looks great, my favourite feature is the boot and yet i also hate it. It is ... more

    Advantages Advantages Fun car

Disadvantages Disadvantages basically, its a corsa

I have driven one of these cars and they are nice, but, it's automatic. Why ???? I really liked the car even though it's a bit small, basically, a corsa cassis and engine with a different body over it. Pretty much the same as vauxhall did with the calibra, that uses a cavalier chasis and engine. Dont get me wrong the car is really nice, its responsive, quite fast and has the sport box option on the auto gearbox, and this really does make a different, it allows you to get and extra 2000 revs from each gear, and belive me, in a vauxhall, this makes a hell of a difference. The car comes in all ... more

Advantages Advantages Good looks, hanles well, economical, dead locks fitted

Disadvantages Disadvantages Expensive new for the 1.6

I got an ex demo tigra that was nearly new with about 3000 miles on the clock, i've had the car now for nearly 2 years with no problems with it at all. The best aspect of the tigra i find is how it handles, it takes corners like a dream. The dash is much the same as a corsa which i think could have been different, but apart from that the inside is pretty plush and comfotable. Not so good for tall people getting in the back, but the seats back there are grat just for the option to carry 4 people if need be. The car keeps it's price pretty well as alot of people tend to keep hold of them, which ... more

Advantages Advantages Fun to drive, economical

Disadvantages Disadvantages Inside is of basic standard

The 17" alloy wheels, low suspension and compact length make the Tigra look chunky and sturdy. From the front it's hard to distinguish the Tigra from an Astra or a Corsa. There's no mistaking it from the back though as (apart from the Tigra badge) there's a chunky boot with plenty of space that houses the folded-down roof (and still leaves you with enough space to go shopping). It sticks to the road very well and feels solid... with the roof up. When the roof is down though it doesn't feel so sturdy. Like any structure, it's strengenthed by it's frame and when you remove a piece of that frame ... more

    Advantages Advantages looks good

    Disadvantages Disadvantages cramped for space

Looks nice doesn't it? Smooth lines, curvy body, 'Suit you sir?' Indeed, it drives well, though can be a little sore on the petrol. Like many of these types of vehicle, it is designed for those of us who are the stature of racing jockeys. Unfortunately that does not include my good self. It is immeasurably worse if you are a back seat passenger. Believe me, I have tried it. Myself and my friend's brother were back seat passengers in one. As we are bothe just over six foot we ended up doing Garfield impressions on the rear windscreen. We had three choices of seating position: The first was that ... more

This is a WONDERFUL car.... it has got the look of a spotrs car, and it is just so comftable. Its very acessable and compact. before I had afew problems with driving an automatic car, but i had no problems what so ever with this car.. it was very comftable. Advantages Advantages Draws loads of attention

Disadvantages Disadvantages Too much like corsa inside

I bought my Tigra 2 weeks ago, Its 2002 1.4 and Black, mmm! After driving my dads £28,000 Mitsubishi Shogun for 6 months and then going to my tigra, i can honestly say it wasnt as much of a down fall as i thought. The model i bought has got, electric windows, electric mirrors, aircon and heated mirrors! Which is as much as the shogun had, apart from the cruise controll of course but thats just being greedy! This car is fab, it looks amazing from the outside, unfortunatley im not too keen on the dash set out, my boyfriend has a Corsa and the dash and sterio etc. is exactly the same. I love the ... more

    Advantages Advantages Looks Great, Economical

Disadvantages Disadvantages Not much room in the back for passengers

I bought my Tigra 2 years ago and have never had any problems with it. I love it. I find the Petrol consumption on it pretty good. It warms up quickly in the cold weather, the engine fan works quickly and well in the hot spells. The Insurance on it is low, in about Group 9. Its small enough to get into small parking spaces while everyone else is still looking for one! Boot space is pretty deep and I can get a wheelchair in there when I need to, or lots and lots of shopping! The back seats also collapse down if you need to get something big in there. It has Alloy Wheels, Central Locking ... more

Disadvantages Disadvantages little room for passengers

After having lots of problems with my car week after week i decided to look for a new one. I always loved tigras but always thought it was a dream to own one. When I visited the first garage and discovered there was a tigra for sale for 3500 I couldnt beleive my luck I had to have it. Here this tigra was purple/blue N reg 1.6i with 30,000 miles on the clock and in immaculate condition. I just had to have it.I bought it in jan this year and have had no problems with it at all unlike my previous car not mentioning the model. The only downfall alot of people say is room in the back. I can safetly ... more
