Ive just this minute got back from a bowling tournament. Our bowling coach hired out a Zafira to get us there and back. There was 7 of us, and rather handily ( is that a word ) there is 7 seats. On the way there I was sat on the second row, the leg room is ample, well maybe more than ample if it hadnt of been for the dozen or so bowling balls ladden about the car/mpv thingy. I have been running a Zafira 1.6 comfort for the last 3 years,( before that I had a nissan serena), so as you can tell I like and require people movers. And in my opinion the Zafira has to be the best vehicle in this class on the road.With all 7 seats up granted there isnt much left of the boot space but it is enough for the shopping, but with the rear seats down it becomes a very good estate car, and then if you fold the middle seats you have practicaly ... I bought my Zafira 1.6i in Novemeber 1999. My problem was that with three kids it was difficult to get everyone and the luggage in. I decided we needed a people carrier. At around the £10-13,000 the only options seemed to two-three year old vehicles--I struggled with the idea of paying that kind of money for an "old" car. I'm back to write for who wants to read me....... It's not a new review, because I bought this car (in Italy is called Opel not Vauxhall) about two years ago (July 2003). It'a a car you love because is spacious, comfortable, very easy to drive. It's a car you hate because because is too slow, and needs a lot of fuel, it needs a sheik of Kuwait directly connected to the fuel tank. ...general. It is the first vauxhall that I have owned. The seating is ideal and extremely comfortable. The all round vision from the drivers seat is excellent and aids safe driving. The Steering Wheel entertainment controls allows use of the entertainment system without having to let go of the wheel. I consider this another safety feature well worth investing in. Advantages: Does not feel or look like a big car - but can seat 7!!
Disadvantages: small boot space when all seats are up

I love my Zafira - it fits all my children in and as I only have 4 (all under the age of 6) I do not need to put all the seats up - I can leave one down at the back and therefore can fit the buggy and shopping in. However if we have friends visiting and need all seats then it is a squeeze for the buggy and forget the shopping. Advantages: 1. Very Comfortable to drive 2. Disadvantages: awkward for cleaning in all the hard to reach areas

the Zafira has served us well we can easily get 4 kids 2 adults and a dog in the car the rear seats dissapear and the centre row folds up so it's great for moving large items around, only the tyres and exhaust have needed any attention in the last 3 yrs, the stereo is a bit basic and the central locking can be a bit unpredictable our key has seperated in the middle, the upholstery (velour) is hard wearing and cleans without too much effort dog hair ... I have had my zafira for almost a year and have never had a problem. It handles great and for a larger car will stop in no time, and even fully loaded can get upto motorway speed without thinking about it. I cannot fault the zafira for space, just recently I had a set of bunk beds complete with matresses and two double futons with cushions in the boot and that was ALL AT ONCE. Have had my Zafira for six months and am very pleased with it. I bought it mainly because I thought it would be useful to have the ability to carry seven people (the alternative was a standard estate). I have truly lost count of the number of times I have popped one or both of the two rear seats up to meet some unplanned need. I bought this car a year ago and have been very disappointed. Extremely heavy on fuel, unreliable in starting, slow acceleration, poor quality radio reception, back seats that won't fold down, boot that won't lock, noisy and chuggy when idling. It still gets me from A to B, but hey, so do my legs. It was in the garage solid for ONE WHOLE MONTH.
