    Advantages Advantages It's almost like the God of Scooters

    There's something oh so irresistible about Vespas. If it's either its Retro design, or the nostalgia factor from having one when you were a teen, the Vespa is a classic. And we love it. I got my Vespa PX last year after a 12 year love affair with them, admittedly not knowing anything about them bar they were cosmetically pretty, I had a mild panic attack when having to face its gears and clutch. Within the first weekend of owning my Vespa I'd stalled it about 100 times, fallen off it, popped an accidental wheelie, almost ran my Dad over.. twice and been given the two finger salute by a very ... more

    Looking for a retro scooter but haven't been into scootering for to long? The Vspa PX is the scooter for you! The PX can be made to look very sixties with the addition of a few accessories yet looks comfortably modern if left as standard. The scooter has gears (unlike the automatic ET range) which in my opinion adds to the fun of riding and your overall control of the bike. In terms of reliability the PX probably loses out slightly to the ET range but with a manual and a few tools even the least mechanically minded person could virtually rebuild the scooter for the price of a few (cheap) parts ... more

    Advantages Advantages Cheap, reliable scootering.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Hand gear change difficult for some

    Although the PX range Vespa has been round for 22 years and is based on a family that gos back to 1946 this should not put anyone off buying this scooter in the 21st century. Extremely robust and reliable, the PX vespa can be relied on to clock up the miles quite happily. Availability of parts and accesories is fantastic in the UK and parts are very economical compared with similar sized motorcycles. Recent improvements to the PX have included front disc brake, new style seats and badging that puts the PX in line with the "retro" look of the ET4. ... more
